Apart from the issue with Toffee's mic, which kept failing whenever the actress was sustaining a note and the refusal from the sound team to turn down the minor kids mics during ensemble numbers like "Ain't no going back" meaning we couldn't hear the main focus of the song, it was a good show. a few things I never actually realised about Zombie prom when I did it in 2018 (Playing stage manager and serving in the chorus) 1) "Good as it gets" is one of the cruelest songs in the musical under the surface of the upbeat tune (Basically the kids are ridiculing Toffee for being depressed at the death of her boyfriend) 2) "The C word" is controversial due to the time the play takes place (the 50s were very conservative in America) 3) The "Nightmare" scene (as my director called it; the scene leading up to "Blast from the past") is the creepiest fucking scene in the whole musical 4) The references to Joan Crawford and Richard Nixon were jokes about real people

I was absent the day we learned choreo for the nightmare scene and we didn't go over it for a while so when we did do it I was so confused lol
