I bought on of these for my son who is camping off the PCT. Fist one died after a month. Ecofow replaced it but the issue was the same- It would not charge. In his case he let it go too low on charge and then it would never charge again. After warranty was over the exact same thing happened again. Very frustrating as we love this units ability to quick charge as well as power things like coffee pots and waffle irons. Crazy me we brought another one and so far so good.
I'm curious now, did you get the second version of the Ecoflow River? So far the one I got still good to go since I made this video about it but there is another generation of Ecoflows out and hopefully there are more reliable.
I bought mine 08-17-21 with the included solar panel. Mine just died. 0% battery left, just out of warranty. Recharged on residential for 24 hours. Dead as a door nail.
@@MrAnubus27 So, I had the same issue with my sons unit and I had him send it to me. I have a unit that has the extra battery and took it off mine and put it on his dead one. After a few minutes of fiddling around I was able to get it to fully charge. I ten took off the extra battery and it’s been working great. I also did a firmware update
EcoFlow has great customer service so they sent me another one. Did my first gig log with it.
Hi. I already using it for two years. Newer has issues after active camping use. What i did? After i bought, i made reset to default settings by pressing light and car charging both together for 10 seconds. After that, i connected it to my phone and upgraded it's firmware. Restored settings to its default by pressind two buttons mantioned above. Always doing restore default settings before every charge.
That's pretty interesting. I didn't know how to do a factory reset by pressing the car and light buttons together for 10 seconds. I think I'm gonna go try that on my Ecoflow just because. Thanks for the tip my friend.
Great video. Purchased this in July of 2021, tested it out and everything was working, tried to keep it charged for when I needed it and when I finally needed it for the first ime a week ago, no power, wasn't working. I was infuriated! Send them a message, registered it... so I am praying now.
I've definitely learned to test things like this out periodically while it's still in the warranty period. So far at last two hours and 36 minutes on my full-size refrigerator in the kitchen, I used it on to move in here light fixtures in my DJ rig and it only lasted for about three hours. I'll be doing this in different scenarios and give feedback as I can but I really hope Eco Blue takes care of your brother. Thanks for watching the video and supporting our channel.
@@gfire_productions Yeah, I did power it it on from time to time.. maybe about 5 times in total, last time as about 6-7 months ago though.
I charged mine to 100% and didn't use it (1 year). it doesn't take a full charge sometimes, it's a bit damaged.
I use mine at least once a month.
Was having issues with River 2. It displayed higher battery percentage, then dropped to 0%. It would not recharge with the AC cord. After several attempts with AC cord not working, I finally tried the supplied car charging cable. It started charging with the car cable. After 20 minutes, I switched to AC cord and it worked. Hope this helps some of you.
Thanks for the update on the River 2 Eric. What I would do though if it's in warranty and not working the way it's supposed to is send it back for replacement. if you charge it to 100% and you don't use it.... it can get damaged. (the longer you let it sit the more it will get damaged).
for long term storage keep it @ 30%

But I've had chance to check the device, and because it wasn't working - I rejected it, a shop returned my money.

Bought one thru Amazon and NOT the Ecoflow store they have there and am having lots of issues getting service for said unit which arrived DOA. Its no longer sold by Ecoflow which is why I could not purchase this exact model which I wanted and they are giving me the worst time in getting it repaired under warranty as I didn't purchase from them. Had also purchased add on battery and sadly both will most likely be sent back to Amazon and replaced by a unit from another manufacturer and I will not be purchasing or recommending from Ecoflo again.
One of the first things I did when I purchased mine from Amazon was register the unit with Ecoflow. This way I was able to send it back to them for a replacement because I did get past the window of return with Amazon. So far so good with my replacement but I do know that they have newer models out now. Either way if it's not working out for you, I agree that you try another brand but I do your research to see what the general feedback is about the solar generators. Always make sure you register your products with the company so if you have any issues you can deal directly with the manufacturer. What is going on with Ecoflow. I have the same problem. Very frustrated when I need it. I will call them on Monday.
That's exactly what I did and they have sent me a replacement unit so all is well and it works great. I even us it a a DJ gig of all places.
Mine turns on then after a few seconds turns off. I can't get the wifi to connect to fix it coz of this. It keeps flashing the error charge icon i think like many say.
Fortunately I was able to send it back while I was still in warranty I have a replacement. So far so good over a year now.
@gfire_productions thats good to hear mate thanks. I have emailed them as it's under warranty too just waiting for their reply. Sounds like it's a small issue for most people who have it happen. It's good to know that they are great with customer service and help

My EcoFlow River Pro arrived yesterday and has the same issue.

I hope the make it right soon. So far I’m happy with my replacement and used it with a powered speaker for several hours at a wedding.
I bought a delta 2 recently from echo flow ,i charged it 4 almost 2hrs it would not charge, it was brand new disappointed
I sent mine back to get a replacement right after I discovered it wouldn't charge and so far everything's working out really good. I just used it to test how long it would run my refrigerator. The results were about 2 hours and 39 minutes. All is well.
My first power station was an ecoflow river mini. Charge it, use it once then it will not come back on. It has done the exact same thing twice. Not good for camping if it happens in the middle of the night. Both times it still had 90%. Came right on as soon as I plug in....
Will never buy ecoflow again.
Make sure you let them know your complaints. If enough of them cause them to loose a massive customer base they’ll either improve on their products or go out of business.
I am going to give it one more shot. It is fully charged right now and has come on easily 4 times now. It only seems to do it after I use it. Even though it is still charged up. So odd.

@@shakur07 Sorry to hear that bro. I didn't know Ecoflow have a shipping costs for warranties for people overseas. I shipped mine back to them absolutely free here in the US.
@@gfire_productions They send me another one, but I had to pay for the shipping to my country. Two months working, and again the same problem came back to this one too. So, yep, EcoFlow sucks.

This was one of my worst purchases. They are garbage.
My advice when there is always a grievance with any manufacture of anything, let them know I think the more of us and tell them what the issues are the better. If they are smart they will improve and make it right. If they're not then Sunday they'll be out of business. In my case I think they out of the warranty and sent me a new one and to date it has been working out really good for me.
Sorry ecoflow is not good at at all mine went bad right after warranty used every month worked fine no it don't not worth 500 dollars dfo 1 year horrible company
