  • When the rancher's away, the RanchHer will... ranch. Mr. FFB took a few days away from the ranch to learn more about ranching. And while he was gone, it was me, T, here ranching and parenting solo.
This is the first in a three part series on what happens when the rancher's away. Stay tuned next week to find out how day three went down!

Most people have no clue what an intensive and difficult activity ranching and dairying is. I started dairying at 50 after being a bookkeeper for years. The sight of your dogs brought me to tears as I remembered of my own 2 blue healers that helped me round up the cows for milking. I loved them and they loved me. As difficult as it was, I never felt more alive. The experience was worth every grunt and groan.

Honestly, I don't worry much about what's going on in Washington. We're all flawed humans every last one of us, including those making our laws. But I know that no matter what we (flawed) humans can come up with, God's got us. We're not powerful enough to ruin His plan. And while it might now be an easy road for those of us in agriculture, He's working all things for good, even pain in the backside laws.

Thanks for the sub, Jason! We have a dog box on the back of the other pickup they ride in, but we don’t let them ride on the back of the cake truck for fear of them falling off since there’s not a lot of room. Also, we don’t want anybody getting ears or tails stuck in the caker when it’s running. 🤷‍♀️😅
