I have been listening to Scarlet Dorn since I saw them as support for the mighty Lord of the Lost. I fell in love with her voice within seconds. But somehow I have never watched any of their music videos. Until now. And I have to say that I'm deeply touched by this one. Of course, there are many ways to interpret this work of art, the song and video speak for themself. Nevertheless, I have to thank them once again for this song and the visualisation. I have been stuck in a dark mindset for a while now. Began to push people away, friends, family. Isolating myself, to deal with my pain and struggles alone. But this video gave me a tiny spark of hope.
I'm not alone and I don't need to face those problems on my own. Cutting off people won't solve my problems. There are people around me. People I can rely on. I just need to step out of this dark pit and reach out to them.
I know it isn't that easy for everyone. And everyone copes differently with mental health issues. But for me, music always has been the best way to cope with such things. Music gives me salvation. I can find comfort and strength between these lines and symphonies, whenever I feel like giving up.
