This LIVE version is WAY better than the RECORDED one by far.... Just so mind settling. So many memories rushing through my mind when I listen to this song or just Fear Factory in general. Fear Factory definitely touched me in a way no other thing has in this world. Mind, body, soul, Fear Factory.
They are definitely beyond any other band, at least they were until Burton left. The new vocalyst sucks. The other thing that touched me differently was my uncle buck
So true...Burton's voice is so mystical and melodic and yet heavy at the same time. He is up there with Maynard as one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time.
Well, this is live in “the studio” from what I can tell. Still, you can hear hints of the old grind core style vocals. Interesting that they went with the more polished and commercial sound for the end-product of the album.
This song really does blow my mind. Every inch of this song breathes life. This is why I love FF. Their music has style, but more importantly it has heart; that's what real music is all about. Look at stuff nowadays...
Fear Factory was the band I listend to the most during my teens years. I remember seeing them for the first time with Monster Magnet and Rob Zombie back in 98. Ahhh.. FF..the good ol' years.
Descent, Invisible Wounds, and Resurrection are my favorite songs of theirs (Final Exit is my fav from their new album). Honestly, Burton has the greatest voice I've ever heard...when he actually sings instead of over-doing all the growling LambOfGod/CannibalCorpse stuff. Wish they made more songs like this.
I used to cruise around in the cemetery at night with my little brother and a couple of our home boys, drinking and smoking, listening to this album . A black ford truck, cooler full of beer, bag of weed, 1996 if im not mistaken. Those were the days.
I gotta say this is the best live show ever. i have been wathcing this video almost 2-3 times a week now for couple of months! Wish i could have been there :I
Descent Descent Falling victim from neglect Designed thoughts and intellect Forgotten and displaced The crux of my dismay I feel nothing I am nothing I feel nothing Nothing How deep I descend? Until I reach my end? How deep I descend? How deep I descend? Until I reach my end? How deep I descend? Deeper into this abyss Weighted down and sinking fast Life did not offer me More than false destiny I feel nothing I am nothing I feel nothing Nothing How deep I descend? Until I reach my end? Are you kididing me? Burton isn't Britney Spears or T-Pain with all of the studio magic. He sounds exactly the same live, but in a lot of the videos on youtube his voice is shot out. In this video, they're playing out in the cold, so of course he's gonna sound like that. Check out the Worcester videos of Fear Factory on youtube. He nails every song, if not, better than the records.
FF is one of the greatest bands of all time. Burton's singing is original - though this album exemplifies it above all others. I would have Obsolete on a desert island and NEVER GROW WEARY OF LISTENING TO IT. What unoriginal crap is out on the radio - and its too bad because there are so many awesome bands out there. Go to concerts, support your band. FFForever!
I accidentally swallowed an iPod Shuffle and when I crapped it out it had this song on it and I listened to it and discovered it was badass. And that's how I found out about Fear Factory. True story.
Burton changed the lyrics up a little in this performance. Instead of saying "I am nothing" he says "I have nothing". I'm glad he changed that because it makes you feel a little less worthless while listening to it. Anyways, this song is as beautifull as it is brutal. Burton is at his best here. Let's hope he comes around and gets that album out in '09.
i seen these guys with type o negative i swear it changed my fuckin life man! FF FTW!!! i support them 100% with anything they do as well as type o! the 2 best bands of our time!
fear factory has gotten me through so much shit im in 19th grade and when ever i get really pissed i start listening to their heavier stuff like soul of a new machiene and work to melodic stuff like this and dark bodies wich calms me down (try it)
FF RULES. JUST LIKE EVERYONE SAYS. SAW THEM 9 YEARS AGO AT THE BOATHOUSE IN NORFOLK, VA. with Dope, Static X, Powerman 5000, Reville, & FF headlining. 1st show at the Boathouse may it RIP

AMEN BROTHER !!!! AMEN !!! Thats my Words..
Yup, this is just one of a few songs I can think of that are better live than the studio ones.
Hüsker-Du´s "Could you be the one" also comes to mind.
They are definitely beyond any other band, at least they were until Burton left. The new vocalyst sucks. The other thing that touched me differently was my uncle buck
@@traviscozza7177 Nah man, the new vocalist rocks, saw them live a few months ago, and he really nails most of the songs, specially Resurrection.
There's better live versions than this online 👀
Those vocals are so on fucking point, HOLY SHIT!!!
this is my favorite song by fear factory you the man Burton!!!
Back when music was real. So fucking raw.
Even worse now dude. Sad times
true
Some people bitch about Burton's live vocals, but I love how raw and imperfect his voice can be.
Mostly idiots who are unable to understand how exhausting is touring...
Max Mordón so true. After one song in my old metal band my throat was fucked. No idea how Burton keeps it from being damaged.
well he didn't keep it from being damaged, that's the whole problem@@CircleofShit
So true...Burton's voice is so mystical and melodic and yet heavy at the same time. He is up there with Maynard as one of the greatest metal vocalists of all time.
Best live performance of Descent, hands down
After 8 fkin years i came to agree
This is the song that got me into Fear Factory
Well, this is live in “the studio” from what I can tell. Still, you can hear hints of the old grind core style vocals. Interesting that they went with the more polished and commercial sound for the end-product of the album.
I disagree clinton 01 is 😉
this for so long one of their best performances, burton voice is amazing
Fear factory gives me the strength to live better everyday.
burton c bell is probably my favorite vocalist of all time
This song really does blow my mind. Every inch of this song breathes life. This is why I love FF. Their music has style, but more importantly it has heart; that's what real music is all about. Look at stuff nowadays...
3:59 epic image, Christian and Dino banging their heads softly
Most underrated voice in metal
Agree with you, but on live performance it was not so good and sometimes I was disappointed. From a fear factory fans since 1994
For a reason amigo.
I think I just broke my neck... I love you Fear Factory! Best band ever!
oops 😏😎

this is FF's best formation

Ouvindo de Fortaleza - CE / Brasil, 2022. ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽
Amazing band. I got to meet these guys many years ago right after this album came out. Some of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet.
incredible performance
This is fucking awesome. Love how raw Burtons voice sounds. This is how i like my metal bands to sound live.
yep anti libtarded
I gotta say this is the best live show ever. i have been wathcing this video almost 2-3 times a week now for couple of months! Wish i could have been there :I

NPA, one the best tv shows
love the 90' man!!!!!!!!!DinO we Miss YOu!!
Fear Factory's prime days were definitely from 1995 - 2001. They're still good now, but nothing compared to what they were back in the day.
Nirvanaholicxxx not 1992?
They sounded amazing in 2004 too
@@henrywalton5967Absolutely! And one cannot neglect the “Soul of a New Machine” era.
One of my favorite song they’ve made
That's HIS voice...loving this song
...so do my kiddos
cette émission manque à tout le monde ... NPA revient !!!!!!!!!!!
Damn they're groovy. This is by-far their best live performance
I got see them off the obsolete tour it was a mind blowing experience. Prime FF is the best.

I really would have liked to hear the end. Still great. Thanks for the upload!
Best thing ever that my ears have ever heard
Cant believe i just heard this song today!!!!!
You are so lucky to discover this song right now. 🤘🤘🤘
Farewell Burton, Fear Factory won't be the same without you.
Best live group I've ever seen, really tight, this video doesn't do their live show any justice.
this song is one of thier best!
So many bands ripped off these dudes. So innovative, the single most under rated heavy band ever
badass song right here.obsolete was such an awesome album i loved it.

I accidentally swallowed an iPod Shuffle and when I crapped it out it had this song on it and I listened to it and discovered it was badass.
And that's how I found out about Fear Factory. True story.
hell yeah! love this song!
Best version Ive found
It's like his 'controlled' growling is too much for a 'pop' song. So punk and raw. It's fucking epic.
pop song? you must be a special kind of retard
Burton is sounding fucking EXCELLENT here!!! :D
John Bechdel on keyboards. Fuck yeah.
Keybords are some awesome
Burton changed the lyrics up a little in this performance. Instead of saying "I am nothing" he says "I have nothing". this is, by far, Fear Factory's best song! Does anyone else notice the "we wanna be Godflesh" sound? This is, of course, not a bad thing! FF FTW!
