Back in the 70’s, I was in grad school in Dublin, Ireland. I lived in a bed sit in a lovely old house. There was a ghost in my room. We all saw her. She was always sitting or standing, looking out the window. She wore a long dress. I thought she was watching, waiting for someone, maybe a husband or lover who died in WWI. She wasn’t scary at all. Sometimes things would be moved during the night. I went back last year. The house had been totally renovated and rooms were no longer rented out. The window was gone and the lady was gone too.
I live in australia and when i was in secondry school in the seventies and had a teacher mr severence who was from , Lansing, michigan and he use to tell us about how some places in Michigan were very haunted as most really old places are but even back then told us about that prison , but in light of americas problems in 2024 i believe a lot of these abandoned towns will regenerate with people exiting the violence in the cities where its easier to control all the strife cheers from Sydney.

I spent so many nights at 7 Gables, no one ever screamed but us teens scaring each other lol. We did find the witches cottage and got stuck in the mud. It was a great place as kids to just wonder around and explore. I miss those days
Years ago when I was married I slept on my sofa and a full moon was out. I woke up feeling a presence standing next to me! It was a very handsome cowboy dressed in black with a cowboy hat on. We starred at each other and I wasn't afraid!! He had a look of remorse on his face and pure love like he knew me!! I went to visit my sister 300 miles away A few weeks later and I walked around looking at her flowers as she was getting me ice tea. She came out with the tea and started SCREAMING. She cried you will think I'm nuts but a man dressed in black who was very handsome and wore a cowboy hat put his arm around you as you walked side by side in my garden!! It freaked me out cause It was the same ghost I had seen I'm quite sure!! She saw him this time but I didnt
When a spirit voice asks for help, I would assume they need assistance to move on ( instead of being stuck where they are ). They may need assistance and guidance to find and go to " the light " to find their true spiritual home.
Back in 2006, I purchased an older single wide trailer that was in good shape for its age. Before I moved in, I had to do a little bit of cleaning and in the kitchen was a huge pool of dried blood. I just told myself it was from a dog giving birth or something and tried to forget about it. Nothing too spooky happened except for one occurrence when I got woken up from a nap around 2pm by a loud voice saying "Your cat brought you a mouse...she brought you a mouse." I laid there confused for a few minutes trying to gather my thoughts because it sounded like my mom yet I was 100% sure my doors were locked and she had no reason to be there anyway. When I did finally sit up to get out of bed, I then noticed my cat had brought a handful of her toy mice up onto the bed which I couldn't have seen without actually sitting up. Whatever it was is something I think followed me to my next home because I got woken up by the same voice late at night at that house telling me I had a staph infection...three days later, signs of a staph infection showed up and was confirmed with a trip to the doctor.
My fiance was born in St. Joseph, Michigan, back in 1986. He only lived there for 18 months until his father, being in the Navy, was relocated to Bremerton Washington. He's heard rumors that even St. Joseph is haunted.
As a michigander I always love hearing about the creepy stuff that's supposedly happens in the state. But sadly I don't know if I can buy into any of this because I spend an awful lot of time in the woods by myself in remote areas and I've never seen anything creepy.. at least nothing that can't be explained rationally. However it hasn't stopped me from trying to find them
When I lived in Gobles MI, I saw a huge 8' figure with orange glowing eyes standing in in my backyard about 15' from my study room window. I freaked out, shut the light off and peaked out the window but it was gone.
Think he was a solider so he is making sure he fellow soliders on those ships have a beaken so they have a light to guide them to saftey , so they can make it home to their families safe even death wont stop them from doing their duties , they were so tough
There's an area in St. Joseph county called Purgatory you'll find several areas there like the witches circle, there is other things like red-eye and the goat man
The Dairy Queen restaurant in Flint, Michigan is haunted. While I was using the restroom there, the lights flickered on and off and the roll of toilet paper unrolled right in front me. That experience literally scared the shit out of me...
Thanks for the warning. I think a lot of historic figures would be haunting Flint if they could; they are rolling over in their graves over what happened to Flint. I’ve heard stories about the Capitol Theater.
Had something happen like that in a Quality Dairy in Lansing. While standing next to the coffee machine I noticed some "really rough dudes" looking me over. I got a bad feeling and suddenly a cup standing by the coffee machine sled off the counter and hit the ground with a thud! Those guys saw this and decided to split ! I have to add my brother was murdered just a short distance from that QD. Maybe he was looking out for his little brother ? Thanks Chris !
Brother it’s flint. The whole city is haunted haha.. From the crazy amount of suicides, homicides, murders, accidental deaths like car wrecks and getting hit by a vehicle or over doses
I was born and raised in Allegan. I have been through the old city jail, downstairs in the basement to the left is a wall, onetime that I was in the old jail I saw another room and a woman going through yet another room I followed her, she was wearing a long 1700s black dress, she was washing clothes in a big metal wash tub. When she saw me, she smiled and was gone. The upstairs in one of the rooms, I saw a prisoner with an evil look on his face. I do have a 6th sense, I can see the ghost of the past. They are in solid form, and I can hear spirits of the past as well.
I never believed in such nonsense as ghosts until my husband and I bought a haunted house here in Michigan. Our kids saw her and talked to her . She was never a problem except for moving things around.
I'm from Grand Haven. Love the story about Lake Forest Cemetery. Took a short tour of some of the really old graves, including Ferry, when I was at Girl Scout day camp at Duncan's woods around 1962.
@@troydell9572 I've been gone from there since 1975. I don't really remember how to get there. Ask an older local. Anyone born in the 50s-80s would know where it's at/was.

Later I ask a one time resident if some spirit is in that basement from his childhood days there?? He said his uncle came back from Vietnam and hung himself in the same corner in my basement!!! Empty 5 ft metal shelves would fall forward in slow motion one by one and not near a window!! I was told several years before a man died in my house in my living room!! Doors would open and close on its own as I watched in horror. Small amount of fresh blood appeared on my walls and it didn't come from me!! I'd see my empty medicine cabinet open on its own! The only time I ever saw a ghost was when I lived in a historic resort right next to the Whitehall light. I had fallen asleep on the couch and when I woke up there was a man across the room.
