Definitely one of the top orginal scores for a movie of all times. The way it makes you feel. The emotions that run through you. The way it gets intense and you can literally feel your heart and emotions ride with the music as well. Idk I love this song
It's amazing how perfectly orchestrated music portrays the power and glory that is our sun. An object within our solar system that everyone takes for granted.
All the negatives on here astound Me , this piece of music to me is hope ,future and brilliance from a lower position in life .. the kind of feels where you can't climb a mountain then you do 🇬🇧
Everybody has experienced loss, hate, insults, break-ups and rejection... Imagine all the negative emotions are just right in front of you. You feel them. You see them. They pulled you down to the ground. It is dark and it is cold. And now imagine that a sun raises up in the sky that calmly spreads out more and more light and warmth. You begin to feel the warm sunlight on your skin. Imagine that the sun absorbs all these negative emotions and frees the world of all that pain and sorrow. And just everybody around you is amazed about this big warm light. Imagine they stop fighting each other. No more pain. No more sorrow. Can you feel it? It is salvation.
Life sucks. Period. It hurts. It takes thing from you. Things you don't want to give up. It gives things to you. Things you don't want. And things you thought were pure and righteous turn into horrible things. I feel sorry for the generations
This is the song which showed me, there can be deep emotions in movies. This is the song which showed me, that not deep bass and fast beats define true music. This is the song which showed me, that you can find feelings and love in music. This is the song which introduced me, to one of the greatest composers of all time. Thank you John. Thank you so much.
There it isssssss. I saw this movie (because of Cillian Murphy) and when I listen to the ost, it sounded familiar. I didn't know why. It's from x-men dofp trailerrrrrr. I remember I watched that trailer like a hundred times a day. Thank youuuu.
I C O N I C. I always think this would be incredible to a WW1 film. Maybe lose the more electronic sounds though. 'The big push.' ...At 1:54 the drums almost mimic the sound of heavy artillery in the distance; then at 2:11 it's almost a racing heartbeat before the troops go over the top... many to certain death.
I cannot understand why nobody till today has done a video about Messi with Murphy's Adagio in D Minor as soundtrack... like they did with Jordan's The Last Dance...
I have to say... I think I like this 2014 version best. Heck, that is one of the Top 3 best movie soundtrack pieces of all time. Or Top 2? Or Top 1? :D
Professor X: Charles. Charles: Charles. [looks around] Charles: Is this what becomes of us? Erik was right. Humanity does this to us. Professor X: Not if we show them a better path. Charles: You still believe? Professor X: Just because someone stumbles and loses their path, doesn't mean they're lost forever. Sometimes, we all need a little help. Charles : I'm not the man I was. I open my mind up and it almost overwhelms me. Professor X : You're afraid. And Cerebro knows it. Charles: All those voices... so much PAIN. Professor X: It's not their pain you're afraid of. It's yours, Charles. And as frightening as it can be, that pain will make you stronger. If you allow yourself to feel it, embrace it, .it will make you more powerful than you ever imagined. It's the greatest gift we have: to bear their pain without breaking. And it comes from the most human part of us: hope. Charles, we need you to hope again

fun fact, john murphy composed this on the morning after a badass party, totally hungover, on the piano of a friend.

I love this song, but I just have to ask: Why is every version of Adagio in D Minor I've ever heard in E Minor?
I think it was originally written in D minor (and not as a film score) but was later transposed to E minor for the movie.
You're going to have to do for me what I once did for you.
