You guys really don't care what kind of music it is, you give it a chance. Respect
Chad Cherrone it’s why I love ‘em!
I feel like you guys are medicine for this sick and divided country...thank you so much.
This is the truth right here
Best comment ever. If anyone can bring people together its these awesome guys. Free thinkers!
Good call
CryptoJitsu nice reply.
Right on
It's cool to see a couple guys that can appreciate country folks and say nice things about us instead of throwing us down because we're different and more simple. So thank yall for that!
ehh, come on man. You aren't simple. I AM you. Just different shit to deal with.
Well a lot of people live crazy lives and it ain't to crazy where I am, I live like they did long ago, simple
13jacklh 👍
13jacklh amen to that
When something is *good* and simple - there is great depth.
Gadsden flag . Mostly associated with the revolutionary war. Is generally a symbol of defending independence from a tyrannical government.
ya , its a old flag that now is used for a new symbol for American Patriotism
Felon and Rattle Snakes 1751
Side fact, the rattlesnake depicted on the flag is a Timber Rattlesnake found in upstate New York. Mainly Lake George and Lake Champlain. Home of the famous Fort Ticonderoga. Molon labe!!!!
Dont Tread on Me. Amen
It was the flag of the Culpepper Minute Men during the revolution, to be precise.
The one you called the devil is the Late GREAT George Jones
and Charlie Daniels playing fiddle and last speech at the end....
Exactly what I said! Y'all should definitely do some George Jones!! He can make you feel any song!
John Smith that’s everyone’s grandfather right there.
I was wondering who it was... That's awesome!
I know its George..... but honestly, I wish in this song it was his grandfather like they say. That would be awesome to me, if it was possible obviously.
The “Don’t Tread on Me” flag is a very important representation of American history. Nowadays, the United States is proud about its freedom - sometimes even stating that it is the freest country in the world. The Gadsden flag however, represents the time when America is in the process of fighting for its freedom. Therefore, it is a wonderful symbol of the country’s strength and willpower
This. The Gadsden flag and the rattlesnake are old symbols that represent the ruthless American spirit and determination to protect one's values. Comes from the Revolutionary war era.
The militants who fought the British empire flew the Gadsden Flag they were known as the Continental Marines. It was one of America's Flags before the stars and stripes flags we are still using. The flag was also primarily used by the tea party and libertarians. The Gadsden Flag is the people's flag. Don't Tread on Me is meant to remind the governing body not to mess with the people because the people (snake) are timid until provoked and are bite is lethal. It's an amazing flag with an amazing meaning and history.
I don't think it can be overstated how awesome you two are. Mad respect for your efforts to provide unbiased and open content during a time when most people are so closed minded and follow the crowd. Thank you gentlemen, *fist bump*.
- A sincere fan
Thanks bro!
If I could like this comment a thousand times I would...same!
Well said man
For real
Yeah they are! I have loved all the songs that they have reviewed that I have seen. It's such a true look at these different songs from so many different genre's.
That's the GREAT GEORGE JONES. And at the end is the great Charlie Daniels
THE. GREAT GEORGE JONES.
God rest the soul of the great Charlie Daniels
RIP Charlie. His death hit me hard.
I knew that was George Jones but I had no clue Charlie Daniels was on this song
When he says "as a country boy, you know I can survive", I believe he is referencing 'A Country Boy Can Survive' by Hank Williams Jr. It's definitely one that you should check out on your country journey.
YES! Love to see them react to that song.
That would be awesome
Yep
He also references that song with the two lines that preceded that one.
"Cause Hank taught me just how to stay alive. You'll never catch me out the house without my 9 or .45."
Honestly I'm not a fan of Hank Jr. But Hank Sr. And Hank III are the shit
From a long time country music fan he is more country than most of the drug store cowboy wanna be’s that are on country radio today. Props on the channel
Exactly what I came to say
No BS... I just stumbled across you two a few days ago and I'm not a "race" guy but it's an everyday thing for a white boy to like rap and hip hop but what you guys do breaking country, alternative, and etc. Down is incredible...thanks for the content fellas
This is one of my favorite songs, y'all've hit all mine, Simple Man, Whiskey Lullaby, Wrong Side of Heaven, and you give every song you do a chance. I have the upmost respect for ya both!
A+ , well done as always. George Jones is the "Devil" legendary country icon. Charlie Daniels another country legend (Devil went Down to Georgia) is also in the song playing the fiddle and talking at the end, and Chris Young worked on this song's composition as well. "Dont Tread On Me" is on Gadsden's flag. Positioned below a rattlesnake are the words "DONT TREAD ON ME." The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag. Its exactly how he describes it in the song. Yellow flag with a coiled rattlesnake on it and the words underneath.
Keep up the great work
l..l,
His reference to the flag with rattlesnake with the words " Don't tread on me" is a historical American flag from the American Revolution designed by General Christopher Gadsden. The snake was a symbol used in the 13 original colonies. It is now a motto flag that has been used by the Libertarian Party and the Tea Party
Anita Melon I’m pretty sure he was referencing the flag the NRA uses
Christopher Hudson he's referencing the Gadsden Flag, and he also has that phrase tattooed across his neck
Anita Melon wow I had no idea ....dude I think you overdid this comment we all new what he ment
Nope it's the Gadsden.
many people in the NRA use the gadsden dint tread on me flag. its the same flag and a motto for anyone who wont let any power walk all over them
I think everybody in the country communtiy welcomes aaron lewis with open arms. At least from what i can tell. His style is more like traditional country and most people like that
patrick miller hes a rocker who happens to be making some of the only relevant mainstream country music of today.
dont tread on me is basically dont mess with me and I wont mess with you..
We live by that in the south :)
Absolutely in the south. It is also a flag that was used back in the revolutionary war. Look it up.
2nd Amendment
Y'all need to actually look up the Gadsden flag and what it represents.
68dylan68 , glad someone said it.
Not just the south. Hell I have it tattooed on my shoulder on the Gadston flag and on the other side I have an american flag. And, I'm not the midwesterner. Though theres little difference between the two at this point. We're mostly cons and Patriots. And of course hunt, fish and have tons of guns
Guys! Hank Williams Jr. - "A Country Boy Can Survive", Youll love it!
75bbrown YAAASSSSS
Yes... Bocephus !!
nobody will ever top
75bbrown yes
Yeass
Aaron has referred to A Country Boy Can Survive on a couple of his songs.
The Devil in this song is George "Poussm" Jones...
Speaking of the poussm, y'all should listen to "He Stopped Loving Her Today"
Mike LeBouef the greatest country song ever
Nailed it man!!!
The devil in the song is not George Jones the man/singer that singing for the devil is a man named Ralph Stanley
Dont get them to listen to that sad ass song lol
Right on 👍
The voice you hear as the devil is "OL POSSUM", the late great George Jones.. If you ever want to venture into a truly great legend of country, that is the man to listen to. And just about anything and everything by him is the best there is in country music...like Who's Gonna Fill Their shoes and He Stopped Loving Her Today. I recommend you check him out. You'll see what a true legend of country is ll about.
Whose gonna fill their shoes
Eric Lee beddinfiled the gospel according to jones
George is great, but Hank is country.
#lostinvegas at around 8:15 What he is referencing is the Gadsden flag, it is the yellow rattle-snake banner with the words " dont tread on me" at its base.
The banner was one of the first recognized American flags during the revolt and the eventual revolution.
Older than the United States, older than the stars and stripes.
Don't tread on me
That flag is also the basis of the replacement for the jack that flies on the jackstaff of all US ships in port. Essentially the Gadsden flag over a background of red and white stripes.
Don’t tread on me. The true doctrine of liberalism that’s been bastardized.
@@alittleaccurate3080 lol exactly. dont tell em about classical liberalism. now a days they have a thin blue line flag and a gadsden flag too.....
It was also adopted as the Marine Corps flag in its first couple years of inception
You have to stop. I already spend too much money on music as is. I never really gave country music a chance, but damn this man got skills.
lol.
Get Em Jones agreed
He had his rock band Staind for years also. I like all music but enjoy cross over artist alot, like Darius Rucker also.
I'd encourage you to explore country music. It gets a bad rap, but the people that hate on it never gave it a chance. Check out colter wall, Tyler Childers (nose to the grindstone specifically) Chris Stapleton and of course johnny cash.
Postal Patriot556 Awesome! It's not too common to come across someone else who knows who Colter Wall is. Now if we could get them to react to him and his INSANE voice that he conjures up out of nowhere, that would be sick! The Devil Wears a Suit and Die or Kate McKannon(?) would be great to see them react to.
Guys, the flag he was talking about with the rattlesnake and the "Don't tread on me" slogan is called the Gadsden flag. "The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag" (Wikipedia reference)
Mr.Mister I just came across your comment after I just commented close to the same ... The coils representing 3 sixes and then refer to Luke 10:19 in the Bible for what Jesus says about it ... Then reference the motto devil dogs and their oohrah which was actually huerah which means evil light .. this is why they were called devil dogs ... This country is not what people think and it wasn't established for the reasons or time they think ... We've been here way before were taught in school and this is actually Babylon and the statue of liberty is the whore of Babylon ... Welcome to Babylon people ... Everyone has been lied to and it's coming out more and more everyday ... Christopher Gadsden was an illuminati satanist just like the rest of the sick people buying and selling slaves(the lost tribes) and no they were never lost they were covered up and forced out of a recognizeable state to hide the truth of how sick and horrible this worlds leaders are.. Keep sending your kids to public schools to be brainwashed because everything is all for a reason and the public schools are on a mission to rid the world of the truth - Jesus Christ!!!!! Welcome to the God less generation... I hope you all come to know and trust in Jesus Christ as your savior because He is your only chance to leave this slave trap world ... It's not about money or oil and it never was but really all over your soul and money and fame has been the number 1 tool they use backed by historical lies and irradicating Jesus to blind you from what is really happening in America... This is why all the empirical leaders are really protected under immunity because they know exactly what's going on and have been a part of it since day one which is the actual reason for taking over this country not discovering it .. it wasn't discovered but conquered in an attempt to have free rain from God's laws not tyranny... You can thank the LAWLESS ONE for this place were in... Welcome to the truth ... Take all the pieces and put them together and it's self explanatory after that .. all you need is the truth(Jesus Christ) and ask our Heavenly Father for the wisdom to see what is really going on and to try not to be a part of It... Have a good one guys and stay blessed ....
Brandon Croy Uh, Marines are called Devildogs because during the Battle of Belleau Wood in WW1 the Germans said they fought like hounds from hell. Teufel Hunden.
Dude you are a clueless rectum... The flag implies if you want to step on me be prepared to to get a deadly reaction. you spinning this into some kind of moral or political/ religious shit just shows you don't have any common sense.
dont tread on me is a slogan telling the govt dont trample on our constitutional and God given rights
Injustice Served
That's right! Hell yeah! Woo!
speaking from a true Texan country boy: Aaron Lewis is/was welcomed just as Darius Rucker was welcomed into country. They both have amazing talent. In-fact I think they both sound better as country artists, just seems to really bring out their true talent. If you want a nice video idea react to Sam Hunt - Break Up In A Small Town. Its a strange blend of several types of music genere. But amazing.
Hootie
I agree that their voices are a better fit for country.
TRUTH
those Staind songs sounded pretty country to me way back then
He is one of my favorite country artists and I think he’s super under rated and will probably end up being one of the greats
I loved the nod to "Devil Went Down to Georgia" with the fiddle when he said he sold his soul to the devil.
Cody Jinks: Loud And Heavy! He’s not mainstream so a lot won’t know him. He’s what we call Texas Country! If y’all love Chris Stapleton, you will like him.
Have you ever listened to Matt Mason's "E"?
Rusty Shackleford dont forget cody johnson randy rogers and wade bowen
Dustin Pedersen I Love that song!
Cody Jinks: I'm Not the Devil
Love Loud and Heavy but I'm Not the Devil is the bomb
Exploring alot of different genres, I like that. Keep it up guys!
You gotta listen to “Granddaddy’s gun” by Aaron Lewis.
Jacob Arwood absolutely!
My favorite song!
I agree!
I heard that it sat above the mantle on a couple rusty nails
Rhett Akins originally did it.
That was the late great George Jones.
No show Jones
aaron mullins thats the legendary George Jones
That was actually Charlie Daniel at the end. He is a coun try singer. Most known dog was The Devil Went Down to Georgia.
Mitch Shifflett wrong that was George Jones
Charlie and George are both on this song
This song is his story. He is / has always been a country boy!
Personally, I love good music. From Bach to 2Pac! But country music is where my soul sings!
We completely claim him!♥️♥️♥️
I'm really digging you guys! Keep it up!
i subscribed for this love how unbiased y’all are
Killer_4911 That's Right!
The rattlesnake flag that says “don’t tread on me” was the flag that was flown by the marines during the revolutionary war against Great Britain which was meant to say exactly what you said. Telling Great Britain “don’t f@&k with us. Keep up the good work guys. Love your vids
Yeah it really does gets a negative condonation because of Hollywood. Also, the history of it actually goes back before that. Look up Ben Franklins letter to King George III... What you're referencing is a battle cry from a specific militia. At the time, it was basically a recruitment tool that worked!
The ignorant think it means something else.
Objective thinking is needed for not only music but even in everyday life. We need more people to think this way. It will make the world a better place.
Bingo!
Well said. And they said they need some country folks in their lives to teach them how to survive. Well, us country folk need some smooth talkin' city boys around to get us out of shit too. So to me, there's necessary unity in the meeting half way.Survival is more than growing/making what you need. Barter and deal making and a little side hustle will also be a valuable asset for survival.
This song dude. Every time I play this I gotta play it like three times for my pops lol
He's got pipes. Don't matter what genre. He kills it.
Positioned below the rattlesnake are the words "DONT TREAD ON ME" The flag is named after American general and politician Christopher Gadsden (1724-1805), who designed it in 1775 during the American Revolution. It was used by the Continental Marines as an early motto flag, along with the Moultrie flag
As a 39 yr old guy who's heard a ton of music throughout every genre..he is definitely one talent that I'll always listen to. Whether he's up or down in peoples eyes. His lyrics are always dope and make me feel something. I can name a few that fit into that description but he's near the top of that list. Thanks for the reaction and your thoughts on it.
I think you guys have found a perfect niche, enjoying something you have never experienced. Even though it's old school to us. It's like watching a kid see something amazing for the first time, the awe of it all. It's an amazing thing. Now do "a country boy can survive" by Hank Jr if you liked this, you will love it.
Susie Ann that’s my song! Good call 😁
It’s important to note that he had the legendary George Jones in this song.. that was the man singing as the devil.. but yeah as a “country person” I love Aaron Lewis. He may be from up North, which is not common in country, but he’s one of the guys bringing REAL country back. He’s gonna be big.
Kyle Riggs can't forget Charlie Daniels. I believe that was him at the end, wasn't it?
Organized Chaos Not entirely sure to be honest.
Organized Chaos Just looked it up, it is Charlie Daniels. Charlie Daniela played the best concert I’ve ever been to.. hands down. Great man.
It’s funny how the singers from up “north” keep the country original and the ones south have turned it into pop music, I’m from Ohio and I’ve been south plenty of times now on vacation to Florida(my mom use to live there and has family down there) and what I’ve gathered from it the people where I come from is as country as southerners or more so...
I'm a born and raised Texan, and have met people from all over this country. One funny thing that I've noticed is that the further north you go, the more "southern" people tend to be. The exception to this is people that are from urban areas in and around most big cities. Talk to someone from a rural area of Michigan or Minnesota or even upstate New York, and may be surprised at how "country" they act. And don't even get me started on Montana or Wyoming. They may as well be considered southern states as well.
Don’t tread on me... Don't tread on me is a historic expression of American patriotism and freedom.
Gotta be honest I never really messed with country or metal before but I been rocking with ya for every now I think I when I found your channel y’all had like 20k subs but y’all put me on to some song I would have never listen to thank you Ryan and George for the great work
Everyone should open there mind to other music
brandon callaway It was Emiliano Zapata who said that.
Unfortunately, this kind of country isn't played on country radio. Have loved your country reviews.
George Jones, country legend, being the 2nd voice on this song...fought alcoholism and addiction. Being coined "no show Jones" back in the day for missing shows due to drunkenness. He straightened his life up long before his death but always fought that particular demon. He was the original singer of the Chris Stapleton song that you reviewed "Tennesee Whiskey", also having a famous song called "White Lightning." The one speaking at the end is another country legend Charlie Daniels, famous for Devil Went Down to Georgia.
Don't forget about the ladies of country y'all . ❤ I know those reviews are coming. I always enjoy your channel.
Ladies? Of course! (Even though the LeAnn Rimes vid didn't seem to garner that much attention lol) We were actually planning to throw a poll up on Twitter for the ladies of Country.
Miranda Lambert "kerosene" maybe?
I really want them to review Chris LeDoux "this Cowboys Hat"
Review my girl, Miranda Lambert, of course! Tin Man, House That Built Me or Gunpowder & Lead. And you're right! Ha! I forgot you did the LeAnn Rimes song. 😂😂
Yes, Gunpowder and lead!
Dont tread on me is the Gadsden flag was used in the American revolution it was our flag before we had a flag
Antonio Luebanos sad how little people know of this flag.
This what, I’m talking about ♥️♥️♥️♥️His voice, he can sing about anything. And sound FREAKIN AWESOME ♥️🤟🏼🤟🏼🤟🏼
I got two tickets to check him out! In November 2020
Great job again guys. You two are killin it with this channel. The "don't tread on me" flag is referencing the Gadsden flag from the Revolutionary War. Its used today by people who're fed up with people and a government trying to control everything.
Warrel Dane, singer of Nevermore and Sanctuary, recently died. He was one of the all time greats. I suggest you check out THIS GODLESS ENDEAVOR, by NEVERMORE, so his great career and life can be celebrated! I think you'll love the transitions and intensity
outiawtorn i 2nd this comment.
Please. 😬😬
2nd +1. Warrel was an amazing singer in Sanctuary as well. RIP.
I love Aaron Lewis so I agree he can sing anything!!!! My husband who breathes Country loves Aaron Lewis in the country genre. Love y'all this channel is 🔥🔥🔥🔥 A Perfect Circle "The Doomed"
Sandy Lewis on board with that recommendation. Any APC!
I like y’all y’all respect everything and everyone I like that y’all respect every song because some people hate country even though they never heard it it’s just so respectful that y’all love everyone and everything
You two are pure perfection with your reviews. I had heard this song before but had not made the Staind connection. Very well done again fellas.
He has a great voice whether it's rock or country. He's got it going on.. Great review guys as always 🤘
The voice at the end is Charlie Daniels. Listen to Wooley Swamp. The other voice you think is his grandpa is George Jones, the man who took Tennessee Whiskey to the top of the charts before Chris Stapleton was even born. George is also credited with having the #1 country song ever made.....He stopped loving her today. Listen, please.
No DragonLady, it's not his grandfather, it's definitely Charlie Daniels. Do a little research, you'll see.
@DragonLady 32 , you may THINK you know Aaron Lewis, but you clearly don't and you DEFINITELY don't know classic country!! The man speaking at the end IS Charlie Daniels, the record company credits it as being Charlie Daniels, and the man speaking at the end of "actual Aaron Lewis video" IS CHARLIE DANIELS HIMSELF!!! Again: Do. 👏 Your. 👏 Research. 👏
I love Wooley Swamp! awesome song.
That wasn't Charlie it was George Jones that did that part. And it was Charlie at the end.
I completely agree, Aaron Lewis has a spectacular voice. He's really so blessed at whatever he sings.
The "devil" was George Jones, another great country singer.
CHOOZ GOOZ Ralph Stanley was the devil
Ralph Stanley was the devil in the song and was a renown blue grass singer. He was brought to the attention of the mass culture for his Death song in Brother where Art Thou the movie.
Mark Carpenter what you said about Ralph Stanley is spot on, however George Jones is who sings with Aaron here. Google Images of Ralph and George then check the main video out and see for yourself.
Charlie Daniels at the end of course and yes George Jones singing
www.songfacts.com/detail.php?id=20161
"The video features Jones, Daniels and Young in the studio and draws from Lewis' family archives. "The video really is me. This is probably the most I've ever participated in any video that I've been involved with. I added a lot to the mix to tell the story."
You guys are spot on. He can do any type of music and sound great. I'm more of a fan of his now that he went country then I was when he was a rock artist. I've seen him in concert 3 times and it's always worth the money. He starts his performance by having the crowd stand remove their hats and everybody says the pledge of allegiance.
Charlie Daniels legendary musician who performed Devil Went Down to Georgia plays on this song and is the one at the end of the video
Gadsden flag has a very significant meaning along with other flags during the American revolution. Hope y’all look it up! Yes the don’t tread on me is because of the rattlesnake. It’s eyes are always open. Meaning it is always vigilant against tyranny.
Gadsden Alabama ??
This is where I live.. Ive got to check that out. Thank you
Another great video review. The “Devil” in this song is George Jones. One of the all time greats of country music. Keep up the diverse reviews guys.
Mike Mcmanis yes. I was surprised they didnt know George Jones. Don't tread on me verse they skipped the part of never needed govt. To hold my hand. That would have answered their question in regards to Gadsden flag
George Jones. Chris young on back up vocals. And Charlie Daniels on the fiddle. So much talent in this one song.
I hated reaction videos until I came here....
Josh Gunn these aren't just reactions, but also a conversation
@Josh Gunn-Me too!!
Me too man
🙏🙏🙏
They guy who was singing in the song with him is a very legendary country singer named George Jones.
itsovernyanthousaand r.i.p.
I love Arron Lewis and I love all types of music!! Y'all are doing great
I agree arron lewis can sing anything this and grandads gun were his best country songs
Just realized what I really love about ur channel. You LISTEN. You hear dudes out, even if outside of ur normal preference. U don't have to like it at the end, but u listen and in this way have discovered new things, I dare say grow, and us with u. We need more folks listening to each other, discussing, less blindness and fighting. That's why I dig ur channel. Also, ur entertaining as f**k!
Thank you sir!
The rattlesnake flag with the saying "Don't tread on me" he talks about is the Gadsden flag. It is from the Revolutionary War.
Steve Biesterfeld and you guys basically had it right. It was more or less a “don’t fuck with us” directed at The British.
I’m proud of him for going back to his roots! You will always come back home!
I love Aaron Lewis. I accept him as a country singer 💯. These days staying strictly just one genre can keep you locked in a box with no room to grow. I'm really happy he came to the country scene. Though I love him as a rock artist too. I just love him!
He can flat out sing. That's all that needs to be said.
The older man in the song is George Jones. Look him up he's damn good. The grand tour
Dalton Pechon, He stopped loving her today, probably the greatest country song ever.
Adam Bowman...100% Agree!
George Jones was just AMAZING
South central Tennessee accepts him. My friends and family LOVE him!! Thanks guys for playing his song today. We all LOVE your perspective on music and songs! So thank you very much!
Nobody gunna mention Charlie Daniels monologue at the end? Also when he says in the song sold my soul to the devil in l.a., the violin sound you hear is an nod to Charlie Daniels song, Devil Went Down to Georgia. Just fyi :)
Weslee Rozell me too I liked the Charlie Daniels fiddle salute in this song.
I don’t think they know...
Don't tread on me with a rattlesnake is a Metallica reference.
@@goldengreen7763 I hope you're joking lol
@@goldengreen7763 no....it is not
Jamey Johnson - in color
bring ruckus that would be good
They love Chris Stapleton, so they’ll love Jamey Johnson
High price of living
Please play some Jamey Johnson he is awesome.
bring ruckus one of my favorite songs
that extra voice in the song was GEORGE JONES, commonly acknowledged as the greatest to ever do it. name a chart topping country artist and their favorite country singer is likely to be george jones. also this song references several country tropes including "devil wne down to georgia" by Charlie Daniels Band when playing strings while he says the part about signing up with the devil, "country boy can survive" by hank williams jr, and finally a libertarian/conservative flag that says "dont tread on me"
Garrett Bollig Garrett Bollig Charlie Daniels was in the song too, he was the voice and fiddle player at the end.
Love love love this song! Totally welcome him into country. I saw him live in concert at Livestock in Florida when Stained was just getting big. Love him even more now! Great voice.
Tool - Lateralus
The second singer in the song that you guys are wondering about is the one and only George Jones. Good review fellas!
#FreeThinkers
AppealingEnd good old “No Show” Jones
it was david coe
Thomas, That wasn't David Allan Coe. It was in fact George Jones.
Thomas, I think you were thinking that Charlie Daniels at the end was David Allan Coe.
It’s George Jones...
most cpuntry music lovers love rock rap and all in between. if its good music it doesnt matter the genre. a good song can put u anywhere u need to be
Love Aaron Lewis & this song!
You guys are great!
More country please 💕
Hey I'm a southern girl, about as country as they come, lol so hell yes this is one many blare on the radio in my small town, when your raised listing to Hank Williams jr, Charly Daniel's, (to name a couple) it's hard not to respect his voice, and he's lyrically genius, it's so easy to relate to what he's saying, dirt roads, that was really just your long ass drive way you had to walk every day after school, lol no really it's nice to just take the back roads home just to clear your mind, family that keeps you stronge and going, the smell of a wood stove in the morning, when you live the simple life you get to saver the little things that make life amazing, so I don't blame him for wanting to go back to his roots,
Thanks for sharing Sara! You painted a nice picture!
Country boy can survive could be a shout out to Hank William Jr’s “A Country Boy Can Survive” from around 1980-ish. Huge hit for Hank Jr. You guys should react.
Love y'all..I'm country...love to see all men try to be positive...
I respect what you guys do. Music has this incredible ability to bring us all together and you are very good at being open to all genres. I listen to all genres but Country is what I grew up on and it will always have my heart. I love watching people discovering the amazing stories that Country music has to offer. Keep bringing people together you guys are awesome!!!
He does an acoustic tour singing all his songs from his time as front man with stained . Then he does some of his country songs and even a few by Pearl jam , prince , rascal Flatts and more . I've seen him 6 times
Richard Davis He definitely doesn't "cover" Rascal Flatts... He covers the original artist to try to do it justice because he feels Rascal Flatts ruined the song. Personally I like all 3, but honestly, Aaron puts both predecessors to shame...
The Devil is George Jones. And Charlie Daniels is the voice at the end of the song.
Very True
I thought Charlie played the devil and George Jones was at the end??
it might of been but in the video it looks like Charlie is talking at the end
Gavin Liberty your right lol. That shit cracked me up when he said his grandpa😂😂😂
MY STEP DAD GOD REST HIS SOUL DID NOT LIKE COUNTRY BUT I TOLD HIM TO LISTEN TO THIS CAUSE I LOVE COUNTRY AND HE LOVED IT TO
my step dad was more into rock and roll then country music but he liked it cause of the words in the song that is why
WHY ARE WE SCREAMING?

I heard Aaron Lewis do this for the first time a few days ago, and I love it! He's a wonderful addition to country. Feels like country rock from the 70s .
Pls do Coheed And Cambria - Welcome Home

I love how you guys take time to pay attention to the lyrics. You've done a lot of react videos for bands I love. Mostly hard rock and heavy metal.
Would love for you guys to switch gears into some classic alternative/ early 80s New Wave / first wave gothic rock.

You should react to A Country Boy Can Survive by Hank, Jr.
Hes so versatile ive been a fan of his since the beginning and love all his music you cannot deny his talent. Put him on the stage with just his voice and guitar and if you dont appreciate it you dont know talent imo.
Listen to some of his live covers
Lamb of god - Walk with me in Hell

As a metal guy, I generally don't like country, wirh a few exceptions. Of course, I know Aaron Lewis from Staind but I would have never listened to this song if it wasn't for this channel. His voice tho!

There's actually a little snip of "Devil Went Down to Georgia" right after he sings "the devil in LA."
Almost a million subscribers!!!!!! That’s amazing fellas congrats!! You guys have always been my favorite reactors. It’s like y’all actually pay attention to every lyric and the music itself and listen to all genres and it’s clear to see you appreciate all good music. Keep doing y’all!! Glad you made it
I've been a Country all my life and I really enjoy listening to your impression of my favorite genre. I am checking out your other videos now. Never really been willing to give Rap a chance but I really like Lecrae, Fear. Found out about him from your vids Thank you for branching out to Country. If you would like a recommendation for someone Country that can appeal to your audience I would suggest Willie Nelson fantastic voice old school feel.
Keep it up. Thanks for doing Country too.
The old man as the devil is the late country legend George Jones
