You're Out of Options to Vegas Status Match to Caesars Diamond Except for These 2 Ways

- The easy Las Vegas travel hack to match Wyndham to Caesars to get Caesars Diamond Status has ended. But here are two ways you can still match Wyndham Diamond to Caesars Diamond.
It’s over. Caesars has stopped status matching. The Vegas status match merry go round elite status quadfecta has ended. You can not get permanent elite status. You can no longer match status to Caesars Diamond.
But wait, you don’t have to kiss cheap rooms, the $100 Celebration Dinner, and no resort fees goodbye.
There are some exceptions. There are still two ways you can match Caesars Diamond status.
New members can status match casino status to Caesars Diamond through December 31, 2022. This is the one of only two ways you can still match your status to Caesars Diamond status.
This match gives you Caesars Diamond through January 31, 2023.
The last way to match to Caesars Diamond status is via Wyndham Diamond. Wyndham Diamond matches to Caesars Diamond because of their partnership agreement only if:
You earned Wyndham Diamond by staying 24 nights at Wyndham hotels.
You “earned” Wyndham Diamond via the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business Card.
If you got Wyndham Diamond by previously matched another hotel program status to Wyndham Diamond, you won’t be able to match to Caesars Diamond.
Caesars is no longer matching if your Wyndham Diamond came from another tier match program. The vegas permanent elite status merry go round has ended.

Yep, as mentioned in the video at the 3:11 mark, that's how I match too. 😉
I remember when this news came out, and I was fully expecting my Caesars Diamond status to go away. But I tried the merry-go-round again this year, and as of today (February 6), I'm still Caesars Diamond. My Wyndham status dropped below Diamond in January, so I matched it back to Caesars. Then, on February 1, I put in for a reverse match. It worked! Now I'm still holding my breath, because they might snatch it away again, but for now, I'm still Caesars Diamond.
Hi Ursus, hopefully you still have Caesars Diamond. As long as you have Wyndham Diamond, you can continually rematch to Caesars Diamond.
Merry Go Round still works, but only via the Wyndham Earner Business (as you mentioned that still works).
Then just match in person to MGM Gold (in person only), match that to Hyatt, and then set 2x reminders per year to match those two back and forth as they expire at different times.
Then just match Wyndham to Caesars whenever.
Oh, also, sounds like you now need to earn 100 tier credits with Caesars (easy to earn) for the $100 celebration dinner to be added.
MGM doesn’t honor the celebration dinner for those who receive it via matching.
The full Merry Go Round play that we knew in the past has changed and is not working any more because Caesars has stopped unearned matches. Without the Caesars Diamond spoke the merry go round isn't complete. So you have to either get the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business for Wyndham Diamond status which is not considered an unearned match or earn Wyndham Diamond the regular way.
Some have said that's what they were told while others were not told that and have been able to use their $100 celebration dinners. Right now it's hard to say for sure because aren't enough data points.
@@TravelingWellForLess Yeah, for what it’s worth, mine worked fine in late February. Though I may have already had the tier points from my stay or some limited gambling.
Though this was before the reports came about the unearned match issue and some having issues with the celebration dinner. So I would guess they weren’t implementing that yet.
@@TravelingWellForLess I’d still say the merry go round is possible, just different. One credit card gives you all 4x statuses (plus more if you do some checking on StatusMatcher)
I imagine most people doing the merry go round were doing so starting with a status they got via a credit card, not earned nights. So, it still works, it’s just a different entry point and there’s now only one entry point that does work.
Though I wouldn’t be surprised to see MGM make a matching move, so I think the days are probably numbered. Or plenty of other changes that could truly end this.
This was really an eye-opener. I am surprised I did not know about the Wyndham credit card match until watching this video considering that I frequently look for credit card teaser bonus points. Thank you Traveling Well For Less.

Word on the street is... Caesars has been revoking people's statuses that did not earn status previously under the terms of this new program. Many are furious, and people who will continue to qualify (like myself) that are still waiting on their matching are being delayed simply because Caesar's and Wyndham are so busy evaluating everything.
Very bad customer service I predict will be very beneficial for MGM/Wynn.

My wife has the Wyndham Business Card and was matched to Caesars Diamond about two months ago and then to MGM gold. Both involved numerous calls to tech support. I just got my Wyndham Business card a couple of days ago and was successfully matched online with Caesars. . . to Platinum (sigh). Incident ticket has been opened to see if they will match it to Diamond as advertised.

Hi Nic, if the employee card gives you Wyndham Diamond then it's eligible for the status match. I don't think it does though.
Question: I am Wyndham diamond because of a previous match from another hotel. If I apply and get the Wyndham Business credit card as per this video, in theory that should still be good then to be recognized by Caesar’s to apply the match when I take the steps to do so. My concern being how I initially got diamond from Wyndham, might that muddy the waters even if I am a Wyndham business card holder?
Hi Sean, yes, if you get the Wyndham Business card, Caesars will accept that and match you to Diamond. I don't know how advanced their IT is so whether your existed matched status will complicate things is another issue. You could either wait until it expires and then get the business card. Or if things get muddy and they try to deny you, you can then show proof that you have the business card.
What about the Founders card? Do I get still the diamond status? If yes can you describe the process? thx
Hi Phil, yes, right now they are still offering Caesars Diamond through the Founder's Card but it's a one time only match. That's why I didn't mention it in the video. I only wanted to mention things that could be used indefinitely.
You have to apply for a Founders Card membership. Once approved, then within your account, there will be an option to submit the request.
I’ve been waiting over 2 weeks to get Caesar’s match to the Diamond Wyndham Business Rewards card

I think I may know why it's taking so long. They claim they're backed up, but these systems are typically not that complicated (I work in IT), and granted their stricter poilicies on matching, I imagine the volume to be lower. I'm told they're not accepting calls at this time and expect a 'delay'. What I believe they are doing instead is intentionally delaying matches past the expiration windows (typically around Feb and Mar) to flush out all the accounts that aren't properly 'earned', and hiding from any customer inquiring. They won't respond to calls or emails, and I think it's apart of their plan to do as stated in the video.
@@MichaelStephenLau good analysis and makes sense. Here's another caveat: March Madness. Lots of folks booked rooms in Vegas. If their matches don't come through then they have to pay resort fees and don't get the dinner. That's a big chunk of money saved by Caesars. 🤔

It took a month but I got my Ceasars Diamond status match from my Wyndham business rewards card.
I watched your prior video on Wyndham diamond for Ceasar diamond match, and applied for the ceasar reward program online but haven't apply for the Wyndham card yet. Now I learned that this is only valid for new reward member, did I just screw up the change for matching? Ceasar's reward program terms and condition says "unverified new member" qualifies, Am I still considered unverified until I physically present with my ID at Ceasar Palace? Sorry such a long question...
Hi Hengchai79, nope, you didn't mess up your matching. 😉 Matching Caesars Diamond from another program like MGM Rewards is only valid for new members.That's where the "unverified new member" terminology comes in. But you can match your earned Wyndham Diamond (from stays or the business card) anytime and regardless if you already are a Caesars Rewards member.
If you own the business card from wyndhams do you have to match to caesars every year? I just got my wyndham business earners and planning Vegas trip in January. Should I wait until January to match? Also, is it a once in a life time match, as in only do it once?
Hi Brandon, yes, even with the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business card, you have to rematch to Caesars every year. If you're going in January, you can match now. Because it can take a few days for the match to go through. Your status drops off on February 1 so you'll have to rematch again on Feb 1. You can continually match every year you qualify.

@@mightylaidlow1 the $100 Celebration dinner resets each qualifying year. I'm not sure if it's actual date specific. I usually rematch on February 1.
Some other comments note that diamond status has been revoked if you received recently under now non-qualifying means. This happened to me and sent I e-mail with my displeasure (because they had given me diamond only two weeks earlier via a status match request only to take it away). I have not heard back (backlog) but wondering if anyone has any success with any similar complaints?
Hi Sean, Caesars position is firm. If you matched via unearned methods then they are revoking previously matched status and denying status matches for unearned Wyndham Diamond.

Hi Bryant, you can match your Caesars Diamond to MGM Gold. But if you want to do the reverse, match MGM Gold to Caesars Diamond, you have to be a new Caesars Rewards member.
New member means nothing. I highly doubt you can find a single individual MGM Gold member on planet earth who has NEVER been Caesars member lol.

Question: If you status match to Diamond on Caesars do they give you 15,000 tier credits so say if you want to go to diamond plus would you have to earn all of those tier credits or would you start at 15,000? Second part is if you are loyal to Caesars and only use their casinos and resorts and only use them is it better to match with them or just earn status? Thank you.
Hi Joshua, great question. No, when you status match to Caesars Diamond they do not give you 15,000 tier credits. It's a match in name only with perks. You have to earn tier credits to remain Diamond unless you match via the two methods described in the video. If you are only going to stay at Caesars resorts and shift all your stay and play there, you could end up earning Diamond without status matching. Stay tuned for an upcoming video on how to do that.

@@joshuak2210 Great question. Yes. But it really depends on your Vegas travel plans and where you stay. For me, the $95 annual fee is worth it because I get more than $95 of value. I go to Vegas a lot so not having to pay resort fees each time is worth it. And then there's the $100 celebration dinner. If I get a Wyndham Business card or a Caesar's credit card do I automatically receive Diamond Status? If so, do I need to keep a balance on the card or a certain amount of charges needed or will a zero balance keep my Diamond Status current?

Hi Calvin, technically the Diamond status does have to be earned. For those who are not getting status via the card but through stays. However, the Diamond status from the business card is considered earned because you have to apply for the card and pay the annual fee before they grant you the status.

If I get the Windham Earners Business Card I get permanent diamond status so no need to worry about yearly status expiration date, correct? Then each year year when the Caesars diamond status expires I can just reapply for status match. Yes?
Hi Joseph, if you get the Wyndham Rewards Earner Business card you will have permanent Wyndham Diamond status for as long as you have the card and the benefit remains. Yep, each year when your Caesars Diamond status expires, you just reapply for the status match on Feb 1.

Why is Cesars doing this removing the status match ?
Hi Blade, Caesars is removing the status match because there are some who matched who never gamble or even stay at the hotels. They come into Vegas, take advantage of their $100 Celebration dinner while staying at another hotel, and then leave. Or they only stay for super cheap, get resort fees waived, and don't gamble. So it's not profitable for Caesars to continue to status match nongamblers.

Sounds like you now need 100 tier credits for it to be activated. Plenty of ways to get that.

Hi, it doesn't show on the app. You can take your card to any Caesars Rewards desk, they can swipe it and confirm it's there. You can also get a list of the restaurants where you can your use $100 celebration dinner.
I think this may be a YMMV (your miles may vary) situation.
