I can’t play this song nice because I can’t get my fingers quick enough to Bm. I have to pause and line my pinky up correctly every time. My pinky finger is not the biggest so it struggles to get there. I have the same problem with songs like Against the Wind and other Bm songs. It’s really a bummer. I can get it to ring out nice but not in transition. I’ve practice this over and over for months. I’m really disheartened. So many of my favorites have that awful Bm. And the alternatives are even harder! Barre chord is the best option. Help brotha!

Hey Ryan! I agree with you. So many good songs have that chord in it and it can be a tough one to make. Have you tried just putting your index finger on the first string 2nd fret? It is true that you miss the B note on the 5th string 2nd fret but I think you can get away with it. See if by doing that it helps your pinky out some. Let me know! Against The Wind is in the top 5 of my all time favorite songs BTW. Love Bob Seger!

@@countrymusicguitarclassics hey buddy I will definitely try that. I can get to it when I just take my time but during a chord switch it’s really been a rough go for like several months now. I just never end up correctly. My pinky needs to be a half inch longer lol. I will try what you suggest. And the la so
Much for your lessons. I love Against the Wind. I could play that song all day since I was a kid. Just has this relaxing sound and beautiful piano as well.

Man I hate barre chords. Is there an easy way to transition from open chords to barre chords? I just cant seem to get it down.

One tip is to try to rotate your wrist under the neck of your guitar more. It is hard to explain to without showing though. Others will use their thumb to play the top strings of barre chords but that is if they have large hands. Those barre chords are tough for sure!

@@countrymusicguitarclassics for sure, I see what your saying I'm going to try that it's not the barre chord itself that's hard to play for me its transitioning from open.
