I truly did not know that The Hobbit came out in 1937. I am kinda shocked 😂
You have no idea how much you inspire me in life. I once had a classmate, Annie, who shared qualities much like yours soft-spoken, intelligence, and authenticity. Every interaction with her left me with a profound sense of belonging. It wasn't love, but an admiration for her naturality and serene expressiveness. Then came Vaishnavi during my college years, another soft-spoken, intelligent, and refined individual. I had a genuine admiration for her, desiring to emulate her grace. She had a unique elegance that brought a smile to my face. Later in life, I encountered another reminiscent of Annie and Vaishnavi, which brought me joy, again and closure perhaps. But days go by and life moves forward. I lost touch with everyone of them. I've never been one to force people to stay in my life, Not many women lately are this organic and soft-spoken, you see, and when I discovered you on UA-cam, I saw echoes of Annie and Vaishnavi in you too. I hope to continue following your journey and learning from you. This time, my admiration will remain unwavering, and I won't wonder in years to come about your path and contributions to the world.
So this is a little bit of a late read update, because I finished reading this book back in September, but I've read Even if This Live Disappears Tonight. Emma thank you so much! I loved this novel wholeheartedly. I ugly cried, but not just because of Maori forgetting her entire life, but actually Tooru and his entire character. What a beautiful soul...this had me in tears. Thank you for sharing such a recommendation❤
I would also like to share a book rec with you - don't know if you like it, but is has some ice, snow and mountains - it's called A Hundred Million Years and a Day. It's a French book, so I hope it is translated into English. The story follows a group of paleontologists with their leader having a dream and carrying the weight of childhood trauma. Hope you'll find it interesting)
