i am shocked at how well the women played…not possible in other sports as the physical gap is simply too big. But here, really well done ladies!!!
Every single game starts at 8:6 woman leading. These clowns didn't even bother to play full games.
@@planckc1 It was a simulation of difficult conditions. The women are ahead but have a strong opponent facing them, the guys are behind and need to come back, but have very little room for error. Also, each second game starts from 9:8 with the guy on 8 points serving. Also, these "clowns" own this sport, their "clown" system works well.
@@ingerasulffs All this would be fine, if these clowns clearly described what was going on. As it stands, most people in the comments section were fooled into thinking these were full games.
“Too big”....I dunno. I mean the gap definitely exist, no one would deny that...But just read a news on women breaking half marathon record, just ~4-5% slower than the man at first place. I wouldn't call it a big gap.

Of all the points played, Xu scored 14 and Sun 11. Pretty evenly matched.
@K. Kong sun needed less points to win sets. eg. 8-6 with sun leading means that she needs 3 points to win the sets whereas xu needed 5 points to win the set.
Silly way to compare. Men had a much smaller margin of errors, and it would affect playing strategies. I suspect in real matches, the point difference will be bigger, and it will be difficult for Sun to win a game from Xu.

The pressure is real ! It's hard to be as fast as usual when the doubt is in your head . It'is a mind game and being aggressive against the unknown opponent plan without time to build confidence ... TT is a game of strategy , control , condition , concentration and skill is just a part of the mix . Some time when you are with the flow it is very strange , all wonders are possible , slow motion Matrix style with razer sharp accuracy by pure reflex and instincts yet this God mode is rare and against equal opponent many factors have their role in the action. 1 vs 1 I love it :)

Xu Xin can still make high quality shots when he moves fast and takes the ball early.
But when he is away from the table, he can't move as fast as before, so he starts to rely more on his arm movement, which makes his shots less powerful and less consistent.

I don’t get why everyone is so excited with Sun Yingsha defeating Xu Xin. First, take into account the age gap, Xu Xin is 31 and Sun Yingsha is 20. With this age difference there is a significant difference in reaction speed. I’m not saying Sun Yingsha isn’t exceptional at Table Tennis, but do you really think Xu Xin was trying his hardest effort? See Xu Xin vs Fan Zhendong and Xu Xin vs Ma Long, and you can see some difference.
Because the power and speed are so different.
The guys are under handicap by the rules. Most ppl thought these were even matches.
@petermaurer7359 From what I recall (forgot the exact score they start with), the men started the game on the verge of losing as a form of training under pressure or something.
@petermaurer7359 As explained in the video, it's a pressure test with the women starting at an advantage. They switch between starting at 6-8 and 8-9. Not trying to disguise anything...
@petermaurer7359They are not showing sets in the latter stages. They simply started the game with 6:8 and 8:9 to favor the female player. It’s just a fun warm-up game for Olympics.

There has been discrimination against him. Do not know if it is because of envy since he is mystically gifted. It also doesn't make sense that he didn't get full coach support knowing chinese tt director is a fellow penholder.

@@paganmyth-yv1hhI mean, ever since they changed the ball size penholders are at a significant disadvantage compared to shakehand, back when every country can have three atheletes competing in the individual event xu xin could have had a chance, but now, compared to Zhang jike, ma long or fan zhendong, he’s basically competing with one hand tied behind his back.
Overall Xu Xin won a few more points than Sun but she won more of the crucial points.
She was probably the better player here.

When you climb till the 15th floor everyday using the stairs, climbing till 10th floor becomes relatively easy. That's how easy it is for this girls when they compete in the Olympics. When these girls can beat the men squad who are literally considered the best in that sport, then it becomes a walk in the park to beat other girls.

I have seen playing women against men in table tennis, they usually don't stand a chance even when in about the same ranking. These games seem like arranged to me, I don't believe my eyes. at 21:32 the man does not try to reach the ball he even tears his hand back. Just look at all those unforced errors and how the wins of men and women are climbing up in paralleI in order to keep up the suspense. I do not think it is just my male ego, but if so, let me know if you think I am wrong.

How about players vs their coaches. How many points should the players handicap? And who would coach the players to beat their coaches?
Many of the coaches are penholders. Conditions today would definitely be against them. I wanna see CNT coaches vs players with 38 mm ball and speed glue. Coaches need to give a few points of handicap to the players :D

I believe Xu Xin's strategy of trying to overpower Sun with his forehand failed. In stead, he would have better odds just lob and counter. He won a good percentage of lobs against male players and female players just don't have the power to kill him.

yes. women team has 1-2 pts advantage per round. the game.doesnt start from 0. First round they start with 8-6, second round 9-8, 3rd round 8-6, etc
