Hey Tim! Thanks for a standalone version of this! I had a ton of fun in the stream and the tips were very helpful. I’ll be revisiting this video many times to refresh my memory. Thank you!
Hi Tim, hope things are going great on your end. Just came back and listened to a bunch of old covers, and they're honestly so nostalgic. I can't wait to see what you do with hopefully over a hundred new Zelda songs coming out in two short months!!
I always wanted to hear more classic Zelda music put into the style of BotW. For example like the Temple of Time music in BotW, when I saw the Treehouse pre-release footage I was blown away that they went to that much trouble to create a broken version of that song for this specific part of the map Like I always thought it would have been cool to have the song of storms come in while it was raining as a rare ambient track, or a rare ambient nod to Saria's song in the Lost Woods
It really helps to be able to narrow down the options. In my case that means knowing what kinds of chord progressions and -shapes occur often in Japanese game music.

I don’t know anything about the theory but this is mesmerizing to watch
Happy Breath of the Wild's VI Anniversary!
Oh my Hylia you're right!
The secret: Just listen to the entire BotW piano soundtrack...
That works too! XD

Hey, I was at that stream! Good tutorial anyhow.
Didn't have time for something new and this was quite a concise little segment so I though: why not give it a try? :)
Lovely breakdown of how this is done, Tim!
Glad you made a video off of this snippet from the stream! Thanks Tim!
Go stack some fourths!
😁😁😁
brb designing a mug
2:43 sounding like Charlie Brown
This is an awesome tutorial! Thanks, Tim!
Glad it was helpful! I'm not usually this concise and clear when explaining stuff on stream, so wanted to give this one some extra spotlight.

Same here Ashton! Honestly it feels like I've been waiting for a fresh batch of Zelda songs since 2019 so I'm *ready*.

I actually only discovered they did something similar to the House music when I was listening to the soundtrack separately!
In some ways I wish I had taken up music 🎶 🎵 however it didn't peak my interest. You however are a master of the 88 keys!
Yo, love your work!! Also, how do I figure out notes better when listening to a song I haven't heard before? You seem good at that lol

Can I have a poster version of that thumbnail?

no way the chords are gendered in dutch 💀💀💀💀 lol
Yep, "toongeslacht"! The common options are Major or Minor. Not sure why it's called "geslacht" at all but there ya go.
that’s awesome. dutch seems like a really cool language
@@robert19 It's somewhere between English and German!
