Of ALL the incredible singers that have worked with Yngwie over the last 40 years, Mark Boals still stands out as one of the greatest of the bunch! Joe Lynn Turner was phenomenal on Odessey as well! Let's also not forget, Yngwie gave us the one and only JEFF SCOTT SOTO!!!! Still even after all these years, Mark still sounds just about as good as he does in this footage from nearly 40 years ago!
Saw him in 86 in Anchorage, Ak. Someone throws a beer bottle at him smashes on his fender and he walks off stage. during far beyond the sun. Comes back out and screams F- you Anchorage. I was in tears!
Wow! Great footage captured at a time when no cell phones were used to record. Usually, cameras and camcorders were confiscated, if caught with them in the venues. I saw Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force on their debut album tour in ‘84, shredding with his cherry red Strat and of course, his yelllow/cream Strats. 🎸🤘🏼👍🏻
Back when it was good.. We all know Yngwie can play.. Now just bite your pride and stand to the side of the stage again and let a front man back in.. We all want this back.
Yngwie was my first concert also in 1986. This must have been before the concert I went to because Jeff Scott Soto retuned as the lead singer for the concert I went to.
I was there at Legend Valley The crowd started throwing jugs of beer and water when AC/DC was playing FTATR It was crazy asf. I still have my bootleg Tshirt and ticket stub 🎫.
Great live version. Great video! I want to recommend 2 vinyl releases to you. Medieval Death LP and free DVD and the Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP. If you want to know more Google [Medieval Death LP and free DVD + Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP], then check audio, videos etc. \m/
The best singer Yngwie ever had was Goran Edman. Then Turner,Soto and Boals. Now if you count the 3 and a half minutes that Jorn Lande fronted Rising Force then he of course is number one.
Some spectator bring an American Flag to the show and is waving it around, in 1986. Thanks for reminding me what a strange and insecure country this has always been.
Yes he is. I know the sound guy from the club lamours in Brooklyn who told me that he took over not just the dressing room for the main band but also the other bands. He wanted to get an album signed by him after sound check and he refused. Later he was practicing in the dressing room playing at full volume and refused to open the door and told the guy to screw himself through the door. The sound guy told n response kicked the door open and didn’t realize he was right by the door. The door hit him and he fell on his ass. This was back around that time of this video. I could not stop laughing when I heard him tell me this. He said he was one of the biggest dick he ever met and he worked at that club for years. He is very talented though.

God , how good he was back then. The intensity, skills !!
Best Yngwie era! The man
just 23 years old. remarkable
terrifying
@@themotocrossmodchannelWulfMX , that too.
Amazing musicians. The vocals and guitar on this song and a few other Yngwie tunes are some of the greatest songs in history.

2:23 sick!
I love that key change
Saw him open for Iron Maiden Feb 1987 Jax Fl - great show
Awesome. Mark Boals is a great singer.
WOW.... so cool capturing this.... thanks!!
Best part about 1:34 improvisation between chords. His best playing years before accident.

Good song. I also dig the footage of Quiet Riot from this concert.
When a wall of Marshalls was en vogue.
Isn’t that the AC/DC Who Made Who stage behind them? I seen them open for AC/ DC on Flick Of The Switch tour. Very good
Yep, also there was Quiet Riot and Loudness
He opened their Fly on the Wall tour too. Saw them in 1985, The Forum in Inglewood, CA.

Some best work ever' survived all the back stabbing'rigors of touring
Before all the Cheeseburgers.
*doughnuts
Before he thought it was a good idea to be the singer.
Eengwee !

Was the bassist allowed to have an amp on stage?? Lol
He had a Pignose clipped to his belt loop. But was only allowed to use Neverready batteries.
i was there

Boals is my favourite.
JLT could not do the Soto songs live.
I like Vescera era songs.
YM had so many good singers, apart from himself...
Jeff Scott Soto in my opinion..Hes the OG!
This was before he discovered donuts and became Singvay. Boals was great, the wig he's wearing is not.

Yes very insecure to love and respect where you live. How dare they!
@@j.reveille6815Right?! I love my country! Still the best damn looking flag the world has ever seen.
@@j.reveille6815 What a strange cult.
And people like you have always been the problem. Must people actually like and respect their flag.
@@creeper2054 Why not?
Love Yngwie but he kick like a woman
someone need to study songwriting .. this is boring as hell..
meh
That was my reaction. And it was no different for me in 1986.
I've met him several times back in 87-90 and he was always arrogant and rude to his fans.
Typical swede
