Of ALL the incredible singers that have worked with Yngwie over the last 40 years, Mark Boals still stands out as one of the greatest of the bunch! Joe Lynn Turner was phenomenal on Odessey as well! Let's also not forget, Yngwie gave us the one and only JEFF SCOTT SOTO!!!! Still even after all these years, Mark still sounds just about as good as he does in this footage from nearly 40 years ago!

Saw him in 86 in Anchorage, Ak. Someone throws a beer bottle at him smashes on his fender and he walks off stage. during far beyond the sun. Comes back out and screams F- you Anchorage. I was in tears!

Wow! Great footage captured at a time when no cell phones were used to record. Usually, cameras and camcorders were confiscated, if caught with them in the venues. I saw Yngwie Malmsteen’s Rising Force on their debut album tour in ‘84, shredding with his cherry red Strat and of course, his yelllow/cream Strats. 🎸🤘🏼👍🏻

Amazing musicians. The vocals and guitar on this song and a few other Yngwie tunes are some of the greatest songs in history.

Back when it was good.. We all know Yngwie can play.. Now just bite your pride and stand to the side of the stage again and let a front man back in.. We all want this back.

Yngwie was my first concert also in 1986. This must have been before the concert I went to because Jeff Scott Soto retuned as the lead singer for the concert I went to.

Great live version. Great video! I want to recommend 2 vinyl releases to you. Medieval Death LP and free DVD and the Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP. If you want to know more Google [Medieval Death LP and free DVD + Mordicus “Rights ‘n Trials” LP], then check audio, videos etc. \m/

The best singer Yngwie ever had was Goran Edman. Then Turner,Soto and Boals. Now if you count the 3 and a half minutes that Jorn Lande fronted Rising Force then he of course is number one.

      Boals is my favourite.
JLT could not do the Soto songs live.
      I like Vescera era songs.
YM had so many good singers, apart from himself...

Some spectator bring an American Flag to the show and is waving it around, in 1986. Thanks for reminding me what a strange and insecure country this has always been.

Yes he is. I know the sound guy from the club lamours in Brooklyn who told me that he took over not just the dressing room for the main band but also the other bands. He wanted to get an album signed by him after sound check and he refused. Later he was practicing in the dressing room playing at full volume and refused to open the door and told the guy to screw himself through the door. The sound guy told n response kicked the door open and didn’t realize he was right by the door. The door hit him and he fell on his ass. This was back around that time of this video. I could not stop laughing when I heard him tell me this. He said he was one of the biggest dick he ever met and he worked at that club for years. He is very talented though.
