Tell me what are the chances of just recirculating and looping the hose for the ABC pump

i got a cl500 too and i need to change the tandem pump for a regular ps pump and wondering if you had to remove the coolant hose out the way ?

No. If you need to replace your thermostat or water pump you might as well do it all at once. First flush with distilled water then remove the hose and proceed with the rest so you have max clearance.
