GUYS WE WANT YOUR HELP! This seems to have been a confusing issue throughout all of our videos in Banten, and we’ve seen many comments about this so we want to clarify…As we understand it, Banten is its own province, correct? At first we thought Banten was part of West Java, but we were told countless times by the people in Banten that it’s not. This would mean that Java is made up of 4 provinces (East, Central, West, and Banten), and 2 special regions/areas Jakarta and Yogyakarta. Even though the people in Banten are Sundanese, it’s still not part of West Java (similar to how there’s Javanese people in both East and Central Java). Therefore our statement that the Baduy people live in the Banten Province of Java, Indonesia is accurate, correct?
Banten resmi menjadi sebuah provinsi ke-30 di Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia (NKRI) sejak tahun 2000, dibentuk melalui Undang-undang nomor 23 tahun 2000, sebelumnya banten merupakan keresidenan sebagai bagian dari wilayah Provinsi Jawa Barat.
Yg sdikit ambigu kalimat terakhir kalian.. "Banten Province of Java".. Seharusnya ditulis aja " The Banten Province".. Karena Suku Baduy merupakan suku asli Sunda Banten.. Dan org Sunda bukan org Jawa.. Mrk gk mau disebut org Jawa walaupun sbnrny daerah mrk terletak di Pulau Jawa😊🙏🏻

you guys are so lucky to have a chance visiting Baduy. their aren sugar (natural brown sugar) is the best. they deliver the product to jakarta on foot. they refuse to ride on any modern accommodation. so they leave home carrying aren sugar very early in the morning before subuh around 2 - 3 am on foot and returning home same day also on foot. they have never stayed overnight in jakarta or other city. you can say they're indonesian amish people although not exactly the same because amish is totally isolate themselves. perhaps baduy dalam is the real indonesian amish people. from what i heard from my banten friend, baduy dalam people do not wear cloths, they're pure, one with the nature, they're protected by the cosmic energy.

After visited Badui Village, you guys MUST visit Ciptagelar Village which still located in West Java... the culture, the tradition, the view, the way they plant padi (rice), the way they preserve the rice after harveting is so unique... please visit the poeple of Ciptagelar bro... you won't regret the journey...
Agree, sometimes I forgot that West Java have a lot of 'kampung adat' that definitely seem exotic for the foreigner. Some of them even had their own religion and belief system that develop independently from each other.

Believe me guys... Baduy Dalam more gorgeous. I went there when I was in high school on a study tour. We can go there because we ask permission from the chief of the Baduy Dalam through the chief of the Baduy Luar which his daughter goes to the same school as us in Yogyakarta. Thats the most interesting experience.
