That is just ridiculously good. I guess the best compliment to pay you guys is to say the wall looks like its always been there. Another top job fellas, great start to the year! Thanks for taking the time and trouble for the editing and uploads Josh!
Have to echo what Dave said.... Looks like it has always been there. Happy and Prosperous New Year Josh and Cam. Cracking work (with no cracks) Bob (Weston super Mare)
Is that mortar you used? Also, are there concerns with drainage or hydrostatic pressure damaging the wall over time? Genuine questions as I continue watching these videos and aspire to build my own walls.
Yes mortar, there are small “weep” holes throughout which will slightly help. Also on the lower levels of the wall I laid some of the stone “dry” so stone on stone allowing natural drainage. It’s only a small wall (400mm) so will be fine. Good luck with your projects.

Is it true what they say that the rock will tell you where it wants to go?
Something about mortar makes a bloke relax.
Cheers to a great job.
Some do tell you when you ask but some are quite rude so I just put them where I think.

@@J.HarveyStonework Thank you for sharing your knowledge. Keep up the good work! I'll be watching your videos.
Tidy job! Is that a lime mortar mix?
Thank you for watching, no it’s a 6/1 cement
🎅🏻👍🏻
is compacted 3/4" gravel good to use as a base for the foundation course?
Like scalps or just gravel? As long as you’ve dug deep & got some big stones to go on top you shouldn’t have a problem.
@@J.HarveyStonework alright Dynomite!
