- I combined these two tracks into one, all credit goes to Jesper Kyd and Fatshark.
Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean.

Ah yes, the soundtrack to "Am I the only one that knows how to use this scanner?!"
I sure as hell don't, I just kill things until my team eventually does it
I swear the prompt for it only showed up for like a second. And then if you're using a gamepad, you can't use it at all 😂
Ah yes this co-op player. The games just come out bro
"How do ya use this flarkin' scanner?!?'
"Servant! Take magic box from pocket an start scanning!"
That first motif that plays has this uncannily happy/bubbly kind of sound to it out of nowhere in the game world. The characters are suddenly seeing this flying skull which to them is a holy symbol, it must inspire them.
Are servo-skulls considered as holy? I never knew about that if that’s the case.
[Follow Up] just read up on it, it’s a gift granted to loyal servants of the Imperium, whose deeds warranted them the privilege to serve after death, cool bit of lore!
@@Xxbenjee41xX I was just mentioning the fact its a skull haha. To them its a holy icon, thats why they have skulls all over the place.
Sort of like with Orthodox Christianity, in Athos they store the skulls of holy men
@@followingtheroe1952 It's not so much a holy icon as a reminder that even in death you still serve the Emperor. Every single techno-skull you see in the game, whether it be a data panel, door control, servo skull or hacking probe, once belonged to a human deemed worthy enough to have their skull utilised in such a way.
It would be quite the honour. Most bodies simply get recycled into corpse starch for nutrients, but for _any_ part of your body to be kept after death means you were the real deal and it's like your name would be known to many. You might even be considered a saint by some; some in-game curios are literally small caged bones, or fragments of bones, which is enough to bolster and inspire a humanity steeped in techno-religious fervour.
@@followingtheroe1952 The use of the *human* (emphasis on that) skulls in the Imperium as icons actually has a meaning.
It could be perceived as death, or an extremely ignorant and intolerant empire that only kills whatever is in front of it (which is not all far from wrong), but that could be any other kind of Xenos skull to represent it, the reason why it's specifically a human skull is to represent the Human sacrifices that are made everyday and every night since the dawn of Mankind in favour of advance and progress, though in modern days, the case is in favour of keeping the Imperium and the Emperor's will alive.
@@ChainsawGutsFuck Alternately, every medicae station run by a Servitor-who was possibly someone whose worth to the Emperor was deemed *unfit*, but they are allowed to retain their 'life' (in a sense) in an attempt to atone for their crimes-possibly forever (Servitude Imperpituis). It's better to die for the Emperor, then live for yourself...
The duality of the servo skulls and servitors shows this most clearly.
This makes me feel like the level is turning into a single-player hive city RPG.
Reminds me of the soundcape I would imagine when reading old Judge Dredd comics.
I love looking at the environmental storytelling of the crew living quarters, one of the only Warhammer games that makes the world even feel livable to an extent.
Funny you mentioned RPG, since Jesper Kyd is also responsible for making some music in the Borderlands series, such as the ever familiar Fyrestone.
From my experience whenever the Auspex is needed it basically does turn into a single-player game.
"Your repeated failure is making me... testy"
Disposal Unit is very good, but this is the one for those with really good taste. This is definitely my favorite of them all :D
Blade Runner mood, Kyd have such a good taste.
Press 4...please
God I love these tracks. I jam out to Offworld Auspex every damn time. Thanks for combining them appropriately.

so many of these songs are just incredible, been waiting for another banger ost like this to appear. its like the division's ost meets spore's ost meets thomas newman, with a sprinkle of hotline miami and a heavy side of command and conquer
It feels like the mission in doom when you finally get to heaven, just a theme of overall serenity in a otherwise bloody game with the music to match
The beginning really reminds me of the shrine music from BOTW
Toujours des frissons quand elle commence en game
Scanning Commences makes me think of Hyper Light Drifter.
Anyone else?
My character literally headbobbing to the music:
i call this one the science track. i love it
Hadron is best Tech mom
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ah yes microbe music
Upbeat yet still fits 40k well
Alright, get your ePhone 40s out!
Am I the only one sensing some Half Life vibes from 2:50 onwards?
These songs sound like Kraftwerk made them.
When are we fighting the moth man
I know how it sounds, but...
I enjoy using the Auspex.
Perhaps the Warp has tainted my mind.
inquisitive music
One of the things i dislike about thia game, is the hardrush attitude the playerbase seems to have. There's a lot of amazing art and level design that just gets sprinted past everyone, and people like me are stuck being the stick in the mud, wanting to scope it out.
No doubt the game looks beautiful and has great art direction, but it ran terribly on release and I think some of the microtransactions felt really predatory. I heard they're starting to redeem it though with these recent updates
