Thomas you mean I don’t have to travel to Okeechobee every winter to experience this lol. Great video bud. I have got to spend more time exploring the Potomac. You take care and stay safe.
Thanks! You still have to go to the Big O in the winter, no grass on the Potomac then. LOL!! You can stay here on the Potomac July thru October and find the bite somewhere on the river.
Heyy i know where that is...i fished that spot in the regional 😂. Im guessing those matts got blown out after the storm cause i never saw any mats there🤔
@ThomasHardenFishing thanks! Is the outgoing tide helping pull those fish to the edge of the mats so they aren't all throughout it? Pitching seems so daunting and I have no confidence in it, I pull up to a mat and there is just so much potential area to cover
Thanks for sharing another great video Thomas! And great job on the Potomac in the FOM District Championship my friend!
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
Man. You crushed! You made it look easy but that is hard to get right and have that kind of success!
I just found them biting really good that day. I was just blessed! That edit was one hour of fishing

Nice work! So many people hate the hydrilla but it sure does filter the water AND hold fish!
Floating hydrilla is what I look for, you can catch them in solid hydrilla, but it is a lot more difficult to get them to the boat
👍
Thanks!
Would you please describe the gear you’re using for punching? Weight size, lure, line strength, etc? Thanks!
I can tell you right now just like anyone else lol.. 1 - 2oz weight, pegged, 4/0 flipping hook, 50 - 65 lb braid, heavy to x heavy rod

Just like anywhere on the river, I just found the fish when they were biting.=) The mats are always changing with weather and real high tides
The only thing I get here in Jersey is a hook full of algae from the mats here.
Sometimes bass are under those, but definitely annoying to have to clean the hook every flip
Are you in Mattawoman?
Catching smallies bigger than that right now :0
But I'll take 14 largemouth in an hour =)
What stage of the tide was this??
Outgoing tide
