- Vivaldi - Piccolo Concerto in C Major (RV 443)
Encore: Bartok - Romanian Folk Dances (Sz. 68), Pe Loc
Piccolo: Lucille Bénédicte Zeitoun
Concertmaster: Gordan Nikolic
Codarts String Orchestra
Recorded live at de Doelen, Rotterdam on 8 February 2015
Many thanks to Manuel Gutierrez Rojas and Yohan Zeitoun for recording the performance.
Gosh! This is perfection. Think of the great melodists - Mozart, Schubert Dvorat etc - Vivaldi proves he is their equal.
The second piece (Largo) is played in perfect tempo...bravo!!!! - one of the most touching clasical parts ever...!!!
Piccolo is a fabulously inspiring instrument -- from Vivaldi to the Basler Fasnacht.
GRACIAS !!! Saludos desde España.
Fantastisch , wat mooi. Nog nooit zo heerlijk ontwaakt.
Nice Piccolo, nice Cello, and nice Orchestra! BRAVO!!!!!!!
This splendid performance is outclassing
So beautifully played❤
Will always prefer this concerto on sopranino or soprano recorder!
05:07 this part breaks my heart ...
There's a nice piano version of it: ua-cam.com/video/6vjqeDCeqjk/v-deo.html
Me to. This is one of my favorite music ever. We can find this part in Pasolini's master piece: Mamma Roma.
It's easy to play on the recorder and just as beautiful!
Thank you for posting this. Beautiful.
¡Qué preciosura! 🤗❤️
Love this solo! So fun to play

Απο δω λειπουν ολα γιατι ειναι πολλα αυτα που δεν τηρουμε
When the piccolo comes in, the sixteenth notes are played rubato, with the first note of each beat longer and other 3 notes played as if ornaments. I assume this is an interpretation choice rather than a technical necessity, but I don't quite like it, perhaps because imo it's a bit too exaggerated.
Inegalitet, perfectly valid performance practice. It is very profound in this one, and up to the taste, whether one prefers it or not. Lucky for us, this is extremely popular piece, so we can pick and choose a favourite one. I personally can't find slow enough interpretation of this marvelous piece... They all feel very rushed...

where can I find similar musix?
Vivaldi - Concerto for Piccolo and Strings in C Major RV 443 (2/3)
lovely concert and she plays very well but....i prefer this concert played by a recorder player
That's highfalutin.
Hearing braile
This is better when the soloist plays a sopranino recorder as God (and Vivaldi) intended.

Vé voir, écouter plutôt.....
Sorry, I cannot give a like. Moments when soloists very loudly breathes in because she lacks of air (for instance, 1:24, 1:28, 1:33) -- make it difficult for me to enjoy to this music. I'd look for other interpretations of this concerto on UA-cam.
idiota
Let me just point out that this Concerto is one of the hardest concertos to perform on an instrument that is rather hard to control. The level of execution in this performance is outstanding. The tone is beautiful, the technique nearly flawless, and the overall interpretation is incredible. Next time, before you judge what they didn't do well, try looking at everything they did do well.
@@jessicahawkins6160, I didn't wrote that HER performance is bad, I wrote that it's difficult FOR ME to enjoy it because this small issue "breaks" everything other you've mentioned (again -- for me).
Could you just refrain to being an ass hole?@@sr71at
