2022 NSDC Junior II Division & Overall Champions, Davis & West

Trinity Davis and Mack West not only won their Junior II Division championship, they were also named Overall Champions of the 2022 National SHAG Dance Championships. After missing the 2021 competition due to Covid, it was great to be back in North Myrtle Beach to witness the best shaggers in the country.
The competition, held annually since 1984 is a three night event that features dancers in six divisions - Junior I, Junior II, Non-Pro, Pro, Senior and Masters.

Mack or Trinity, I hope you read this. This dance, this routine has the potential to be a national phenomenon like Riverdance was is 1995. I don"t know how Micheal Flately did it but he brought Irish Dance from obscurity to a world wide craze. Anyhow, I think that can be done, should be done with the Carolina Shag and you 2 have got the look and the moves to do it

Very smooth dancers. I have only started watching these this week.,just got new phone. BUT I'M 78 YRS. FEMALE. ALL THESE DANCERS DO STEPS IN THERE WE USED TO CALL THE DALLAS PUSH. THEN IT WENT TO CAL.SWING, ALL THE TIME THE MAIN STEP Ws we called the Dallas push. Anyone know that.

The last time I saw these two Trinity had on a sparkling gold top and white slacks. They were terrific then and terrific now. They are faster now than then and as overall winners, that is quite an achievement at their age. I like that they both get equal time. Each one gets to show their best. Nice.
