Do you have any tips for telling my parents that I want to take the shahada? They know about me exploring islam but don’t support it. This step will be so hard on them and I dont know how to deal with it, but I really want to take the shahada inshaAllah 🙁🥰
hello sister! firstly Alhamdulliah this is incredible that Allah has guided you to islam, welcome, the community is so happy 🎉. As far as telling your parents, it honestly depends on how your parents regard Islam and religion in general. Islam commands us to treat parents kindly irrespective of their religion. You have to maintain a very strong relation with them. Listen to your parents attentively and argue with them in good manners.
We are told in the Quran about the story of Prophet Ibrahim (peace be upon him) and how he treated his non-Muslim father with respect so make sure to bring up the topic and stand firm with the decision you’re about to make.
Be sure that you will never regret taking this decision.
Also be sure that with hardship comes ease. God, in His Infinite Wisdom, will put an end to the challenge you are going through.
You have first to make a lot of du`aa’ (supplication) to Allah to open the heart of your parents to accept your conversion decision.
Always seek Allah’s help to pass this test. May Allah make it easy for you sister Sabine and reward you. Ameen ❤
Salam’s Sabine, that’s an amazing step and the fact that you want to take the shahada is a blessing from God so please don’t fear in telling ur parents though I understand it’s very nerve wrecking for u. Just remember when God has guided u to Islam He will be with u every step of the way. I pray He makes it easy for u and know u have my support and duas. Sending lots of love 💕 ur way
To be honest, if it’s going to cause you problems, maybe avoid telling them right away. Ease them into it if needed. Tell them when you feel they’re able to see Muslim has changed you for the better

100% get a silk bonnet. It's such a game changer for maintaining curly hair (and all hair types for that matter!). Make sure to look at reviews because many bonnets leave dye stains on pillowcases, even a silk bonnet on a silk pillowcase. It will take a lot of trial and error until you find the right one for you, but it's so worth it!

It says "Ahlan wa Sahlan" which in Arabic means "Welcome".
Hope it's clear, but mashallah well done for clarifying it as its Arabic its mostly thought to be Allah's name.
Not every arabic word is islamic... arabic language is much older than Islam itself. Where do you see the word الله on the mat? Non arab muslims have really weird thoughts sometimes
