      Lol yea since last April . I've been saying I would upload this video n just never got to editing it. I guess it was fine as I needed a better method of snipping the parts that needed to be sped up.

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  4 роки тому

      Most of the removal should be the same. Just pay close attention to the alignment plates, so you put them back exactly how they came off. Then take tire to shop get mounted.
      Remember to add grease to the needle bearings with lithium soap based grass. If you can handle it, it would save you some money, and you can service some of the hard to reach areas.

    Nice job bro. You’re like me, I put thing on the way they came off, even if it looks like it doesn’t matter. My cruiser has a shat, so it’s a little different lol. Be safe dude.

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  5 років тому

      Yes that's right . I wondered about those. Do you have to do any alignment? I would think not due to length of shaft . I found the string method to be the best for me currently.

    • @Viper6-MotoVlogger
      @Viper6-MotoVlogger 5 років тому

      Dbest1a’s Ride nope, no alignment needed when your mounting the shaft back. I love that part. It’s not the same with the FJ-09, which is chain driven.

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  5 років тому

      Ah ok. That's awesome. Oddly my Buell blast (belt drive) is like that .. no alignment needed. Hmm.
      I finally was able to get the string method to work for me on the vstar , and got the rear wheel aligned with the front. It's good enough that if I let go of the bars it will track straight. Finally ... but I'm a picky nerd about things like that..

    Is this the same as the 950? I swear I've been looking for videos for 950 belt replacement and cant find ANY

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  3 роки тому

      Yes it would be pretty much the same. To get the belt off you will have to remove the rear wheel. Note your marks and mark it or take photos or something.
      Then you may have to remove the belt covers on the side . You then can remove the front pulls cover and pull the belt off and if anything seems in the way , you will have to work that out also. Should be a 123 job. Just don't set your belt tension per manual. Set it a tad looser, as you know the 950 tension was to tight from the factory.

    My bike is a 2015 V-Star 1300 it has a muffler on that side it won't let me get a socket on it because the muffler's there so what do you suggest?

    I noticed the bag racks, so I'm assuming that's a 1300 deluxe. So you should have given your viewers the full treatment, of explaining all the crap you have to remove, just to get to that wheel hardware.

      @@dbest1aVlogs I'm with ya. My deluxe is a twin to yours. Same color, same year. Except yours now has more bells and whistles. My biggest wish is to find a diamond shaped LED headlight replacement(not just a bulb).

    • @dbest1aVlogs
      @dbest1aVlogs  2 роки тому

      @@kenbred46 the odd shape of our cluster makes it tough. If you look in the lamp. That metal cover over the headlight. Yup I pulled that out. Then added the led headlight. I’m running the opt7. Removing the cover n aiming the light down a bit makes a huge difference. Just takes time to aim. The spots actually added a little more peripheral light too. I could get by n be fine without them though.
