- Student guides Karen and Christian lead you on a whirlwind tour of the Stanford campus. The tour begins at Stanford Stadium, home to Cardinal football, and ends at the Stanford Visitor Center. Along they way you'll see the Quad, the Dish, and even do a little fountain hopping. This video was originally produced for the launch of the PAC12 Network,

@@marcusvergara6193 well yes and no, Architecture is a rather complicated major. Yes they have Architecture, but it’s a major that gets you a B.S. (Bachelors of Science) in Engineering, with a specialization in Architecture. That does not necessarily get you your licensure as you will need additional Masters program training. What an Architecture student really wants is a B.A. (Bachelors of Architecture, can be confused with Bachelors of Arts, but yeah it is an actual degree) which is only taught in a few schools throughout the nation such as UC Berkeley, USC, UCLA, MIT, Cornell, Rice, Yale, and a few more. But technically, yes, they do have an Arch major.

Holy crap. Beautiful campus, exceptional students, exceptional research, exceptional athletic teams, exceptional professors, and the world's best weather. Harvard and the other ivies don't have the same vibrant environment and location like Stanford. This is easily my number 1 university in the nation, maybe even the world!

More than 80% of Stanford students have some form of financial aid. It is a school about talent, not money.

All financial aid is need based at Stanford. so if your parents make less than 60,000 US dollars a year, your room, board and tuition is covered under financial aid. If they make less than 80,0000, your tuition is covered. Beyond that, the financial assistance adjusts accordingly. You're still able to apply for outside scholarships

My life in Stanford:
1.Wake up.
2.Go to cafe eat the breakfast.
2.Walk to the classroom with outstanding friends.
3.Take the class and receive various valuable knowledge.
4.Eat lunch with friends and share what we learn today.
5.Take the class and keep going.
6.Doing the homework with my motivated friends at library, It's hard, but it's makes me feel Energetic. later go eat the dinner and have some coffee at Starbucks.

Abdulrahman Mahdaly , it is need based financial aid. But the fin aid policies for Stanford are extremely good! If you get in, you will be able to afford your education.

Same here! Starting freshman year and I'll be working my hardest to get into Stanford! Giving my SATs this year and in the year incoming until I reach the highest of my potential. I will ace the applications!
When I was younger, all I wanted to do was go to Stanford because I saw it in High School Musical 3 and it looked like a magical place.
I'm currently studying in Australia and even though I've far outgrown that childhood dream, I hope I can study abroad there before I graduate. That would be phenomenal!

Sonali B good essay is crucial. Plz take some time to revise, proof read, edit, and thoroughly look through your essay before submitting them. U don’t have to be all formal about it. Got accepted to Georgetown despite not having really vague extracurriculars.

Go to community/state college and then transfer to an in-state university for your bachelor's degree. After doing that, you can try to get into Ivy League universities for your graduate years if you wanted to. It's never too late unless if you're moribund.

Me too I'm doing college research and Stanford is at the top of the list right now.
All colleges offer dorms. You don't need to find a place to stay because there's plenty of housing available.
You will most likely be required to stay in a dorm at least freshman year. I'm a rising sophomore and doing the same thing you are and freshman required dorms seem to be the norm pretty much everywhere.

I think the quick back and forth between completely unrelated locations of the campus didn't flow very well and just threw me off while watching, like trying to read something written on a basketball while someone bounces it up and down.

lol you have a long way to go. Anyway, I'd put Harvard ahead of Stanford and Stanford ahead of Brown, it's up to you. Both Brown and Harvard are Ivy's, Stanford isn't, but it has one of the largest endowment funds of the non-ivy's. Frankly, all the above are kick-ass. Focus on high-school first, it's harder than you might think. There is a reason why Stanford has The-Lowest-Acceptance-Rates in the country, 5.1% in 2014. Compare that to Harvard at 5.9% and Yale at 6.3%.
Lmao, I remember when is as in the 7th grade... I was set on Harvard or Stanford, then I fucked up my first two years and that opportunity went away. I did so bad my first two years, that my role of president in DECA for my school, great GPA for junior & senior year, countless number of honors and awards, and AP classes only got me accepted into a regional college... Whatever I'll just go to a state school after a year and then hopefully get an MBA from an Ivy. Good luck.

Decent acceptance rate tho. Here in IIT the acceptance rate is 0.66% (1500000 applications)
truncated_python that’s not how it works. IITs count everybody that takes the JEE Mains as their “applicants”, when most of them are aspirants at best. If we go by that logic, over 2.2 million people applied to Stanford (that is the number of people that take the SAT) and only 2000 were accepted. Also, IITs only consider your marks, Stanford has a holistic approach - meaning your ECs, Essays, Recs etc will count. Go figure.
Akshat Jagga agreed but there are around only 30000 application in Stanford every year in total.
IITs are low ranked, and aren't elite or appealing in any shape or form. Mid-tier US colleges are better than IITs lol. There's no comparison.

Education still costs money it is not free. Now Germany has very well structured public financing meaning people in Germany are not ripped of in the same way as the UK.
And see when you graduate you will be paying extra tax for 50 years that will have paid for your education 10 times over.
