FILM DESCRIPTION:
Demon possession, devilish cheerleaders, and Satanic rock stars are all on the chopping block with this horror comedy from the production team behind Juno. Screenwriter Diablo Cody provides the script, with producing duties handled by Jason Reitman and Dan Dubiecki. The story centers on an impish high-school student (Amanda Seyfried) who has to protect her town against her best friend, Jennifer (Megan Fox), who after being bedeviled by an evil rock band, develops a taste for human flesh. Girlfight's Karyn Kusama directs the Fox Atomic production.

Everyone look up, "Elyse Pahler'', the scene in this movie was inspired by the tragic event that happen in the town I live. 3 boys murdered Elyse, thinking that if they sacrificed her they would get fame, become better death metal artist, & become popular. It's a creepy, eerie thing that still haunts our town to this day, that is to those who still remember. The area Elyse was killed is so similar to where they sacrifice her, minus the sink hole, just a long road & a bunch of trees. The 3 young boys were arrested & sentenced to prison, they continuously raped her months after they had stabbed & strangled her to death, & in the scene when Jennifer screams, "Please God, No", is exactly the last words of Elyse, "Please God No, & Mom Please Help Me". 8 months after the murder one of the boys couldn't take it anymore & eventually led the police to the body of Elyse Pahler.

This movie does a fantastic job of blending real horror with supernatural horror. It takes the brutality of misogyny and violence against women and channels that into a man-eating succubus. It takes the genuine rivalry and fragility of female friendships and essentially turns it into a female slasher film. I've loved this movie since I first saw it in 2010. I'm so glad it's finally getting the praise and recognition it deserves.

Poor girl, this scene is most likely the most heartbreaking. They literally made fun of her fear and while she begged them for her life, not being taken seriously even in her last moments, sexualized and objectified again. It's such a pity we did not see a complete scene how Needy butchered them to avenge Jennifer.
I guess one of her sons found the clip while he was watching youtube and he got nightmares. She later found out when he told her And it horrified her. Something else was taken from her. She didn't even get to have the time to explain to her kids that it was make believe. Something else stripped away.

What’s even more disturbing about this scene, was that the whole movie was roughly based on a true story. A group of boys kidnaped one of their classmates I believe and murdered her BRUTALLY as a sacrifice to the devil.....I’m sorry too morbid?

It was supposed to make you laugh. A lot of people thought this movie was dumb because they took it as a serious horror movie when it was actually a dark comedy/satire (like Scream)
Apparently not O_o looking up the murder of Elyse Pahler, she's a girl who actually was killed by a trio of kids who said they needed a sacrifice for their band to gain popularity and returned sometimes to have sex with her corpse, wtf right?
Yeah it's gnarly! It's a twisted tragedy our town/community never likes to talk about, Poor girl. The whole case is actually creepy, & if you actually dig deep enough, the guys in a way, some believe sold their souls because they did get popularity, the whole town, tuned in to the news & the parents taking the band, "Korn", to court made headline news, which made a lot of people back then pay attention. The similarities this film has is the setting, just one long road & trees everuwhere, the fact that they thought Elyse was a virgin but in fact wasn't, & how at her final moments, the killers describe Elyse as crying & begging for her mom & god. The whole thing is fucked up, & driving through that road is just plain creepy at night.
