These adults should let the kid explain how options work. He's the expert here. 😆. I love how he said he did a decent job. When you buy option you buy 100 shares for a certain date (expiration date), at a certain price (strike price) and you pay a price for that contract (premium). Then there's factors that affect the price of option called option greeks (Delta, Gamma , Theta, Vega, Rho.
Options are risky. You can loose money and you can make a lot of money too. Well done kiddo. Super proud of you. We should show this video to all of our children. They must understand finance and investing the same way they understand to play games on their phones

I'm old and just getting started. My 5 year old says "when the line goes up buy make money, when the line goes down sell make money and when the line goes sideways stay out". That's all you need to do, show your kids the stock market, tell them they can buy as many toys as they want if they learn this game. My sons are 10 and 12. I been trying to talk to my son about stocks and investing. My son went to his father and told his father that I was talking to him about investing. I am 16 and know a lot about the markets and trading, this kid is 13, knows 5x as much as me and has made a living off of it. This guy is incredible.
Kudos to his mom. She invested 25k into a course & then broke it down so a 9 yr. old could understand. This young man would be a great mentor for adults/ children trying to learn.
There's no comparison between this young man and a basketball player. He's demonstrated that if you use your mind you don't have to be a great athlete. Only a handful of people can be professional athletes but everyone can do what this young man has done if you invest in your education and learn what he's learned. The recent run in TESLA stock is the type of opportunity that's comes somewhere in between a blue moon and a lifetime. Most people will lose money messing with options because they are primarily used for hedging.
Short Iron Condors on high IV stocks will save people a lot of money. Cut profits at 50% then I'll rinse and repeat.
Most people will loose money not because it's used for hedging, but because they don't know what they are doing

Ok... 1st off not knocking the kid I'm happy for him & for people to hear it is possible BUT his mom already had $$ to invest not only in the market but in HIM & show him HOW to do this. Plus Tesla is an anomaly within the market due to everything going green. More people becoming conscious of tech & electric vehicles. Elon musk's net worth just hit 100 Billion today! & he made 8 billion last week in 1 day... The fact is most people don't have money like that to begin with. He got really lucky with that Tesla contract. Which is Dope AF. He spent 2000 which is what their stock price is today 3 months ago for the contract. That means he got 78 thousand worth of tesla stock for the price of 300 per share...then sold it for profits.
2nd when buying options there's always risk in them expiring worthless before being exercised. That means you lose your entire investment on that option. However IF it is IN THE $$$ (like Tesla was when his was excersised) during your time holding the contract you can either exercise it beforehand IF YOU HAVE THE MONEY FOR THE SHARES. Or sell that contract for a profit before it expires if you dont have the $$ to cover the purchase of the shares.
3rd depending on the platform you use Day trading can lock you out of your account if you don't have 25k or more to trade with.
4th Invest what you can afford to lose.
5th watch & read the news for what the billionaire investors do & make your own moves on what YOU feel is going to happen. That is the best experience you can do. You WILL make money.
Again not knocking the boy but it's easier to make $$ when you already got it working for you. Plus your parents $$ some people's entire portfolio is what he spent on that 1 contract.

Folks, all of these videos make it sound like it is very easy to make money in the stock market. It isn't. Here are some facts:
1) It is incredibly difficult to make money in the stock market. Roughly 80 to 90% of the people lose money.
2) If you just buy into a low cost index fund, you'll beat the returns of about 90% of the market, according to Warren Buffet. Everybody thinks that they'll get in the top 10% but it is mathematically impossible.
3) Only invest money in stocks which you won't need for at least five years so that you can ride out any ups and downs.
4) You only hear about winners. There are lot more people who are losers in the market than winners. Remember that nobody would proudly make a video about losing money.
5) Remember that you are competing against people who are much smarter than average.

I assume your not putting any money into the market how you talk, you are the type of person to lose money, if your dedicated to make money in the market, if you lose 100$ and keep pushing through, you will be profitable

I'm glad to see young black men his age and his mom upon their money game. He's an example of there's another of securing the 💰, nobody controls his 💰 but him and moms. These children are inventing, learning, creating things at such a young age. Black children in poor area aka the hood don't have both parents or if they do they don't have enough money to take a course for that much money to learn anything about option trading or just investing period. It's nobody that look like them that teaching how money works and how to invest. They don't teach here in Florida but economics and courses that only teach them how to be a worker and not a business owner/investor. I'm small stock trader/investor and teach how to start off small and build your money up while you work.
I never encourage anyone to quit the job they love, but invest your money and make it work for you while you are at work. I work for myself and do other jobs to find my investing and trading accounts. I only will work a 9-5 of they have a 401k and IRA or Roth IRA, other than that, I'll still stay a small trader/investor and work for me. I plan on investing a high yield savings account as another source of income.

I talk to so many people who ask "Should I sell now since the market is down"? I tell them that investing in stocks is really not a short game. When you consider buying a company only buy it if you plan to keep it 10 years. What I mean by this is if you do not really believe in this company you are usually uninformed about it and are moving off some idea that someone told you or some other unintelligent reason. Buy what you buy because you believe. We are in a pandemic and this market will see correction soon. We will come out slowly, but we will come out. So buy and keep buying!

I don't want to burst any bubbles and I realize this is not a strictly stocks/options channel. But what he is not mentioning is the RISK associated with options. He didn't mention about any credit/debit spreads which is a better defined risk strategy than buying naked calls or puts. And generally speaking, "swing trade" or longer term options between 2 weeks-6 weeks are better because you have more time to react with less exposure to gamma risk(the rate of change at which a dollar move in the underlying stock can move your option price) towards the expiration as it accelerates. NO SUCH THING AS DAYTRADING IN OPTIONS. And this 13 year old does know a lot for his age, but in ESPECIALLY in options, long term gains with consistency is WAY more important than hitting a single homerun on Tesla. So, please do another podcast in about a year or so, and check where he is at to really prove his theory.
