Lions are just explosive. Vikings D was tenacious and you could tell they wanted to make a statement, but it was the Lions D that made a statement, and the offense got a slow start but kept the Vikings D on the field and wore them down in the second half, then the fireworks really started. I would be willing to bet neither coordinator leaves us this year. This culture just seems like these guys are having fun and enjoying the game. Coach Campbell made the NFL better. MCDC one of the only coaches that can get overly emotional from a team that THEY expect him to perform at. He, yes demands of it from them, but because they believe into what he offers to them, they give it there all and demand it all from themselves. It is a feed back loop for this whole team demanding a strong demanding coach to lead this group. Only strong leaders can lead a strong team, and MCDC has done that.

I've been A Proud Lifelong Detroit Lions fan since they played at Tiger Stadium. When The Lions hired Campbell as HC I had a gut feeling that he was, at the very least, change the "culture/mindset" of this team because I loved him and his toughness as a player. Even the most optimistic of us could not forsee THIS. What The Lions "Hierarchy" starting with President Sheila Ford Hamp, VP Chris Spielman, GM Brad Holmes and his amazing staff and of course MCDC. The return, and impact, of LB Anzalone can't be quantified. DC Aaron Glenn had a phenomenal game plan. Shutting down Vikings WR Justin Jefferson and putting max pressure on QB Sam Darnold was incredible. I believe that The Lions will compete in The Super Bowl.

When The Lions hired Campbell as HC I had a gut feeling that he was, at the very least, change the "culture/mindset" of this team because I loved him and his toughness as a player. Even the most optimistic of us could not forsee THIS. What The Lions "Hierarchy" starting with President Sheila Ford Hamp, VP Chris Spielman, GM Brad Holmes and his amazing staff and of course MCDC. The return, and impact, of LB Anzalone can't be quantified. DC Aaron Glenn had a phenomenal game plan. Shutting down Vikings WR Justin Jefferson and putting max pressure on QB Sam Darnold was incredible. I believe that The Lions will compete in The Super Bowl.

but to be fair, the D wouldn't have had the energy to do what they did if the O didn't control time of possession as much as they did.
The Lions' O keeping the D off the field long enough to have enough energy to make constant high impact plays rather than to last the length of the game, was the key.
The 2nd half yeah, not the 1st half. Defense str8 balled out, to play man coverage most of night and win against every receiver the Vikings ran out there allowed Detroit to pressure Darnold all night 56% blitz rate for Detroit, highest all year thanks to our back end locking everyone up like flys on shit
