I think what Johnson is doing is the ultimate respect to any competitor. They are scoring as many points as they possibly can in order to shut the door on any possibility of a comeback. Insane comebacks happen all the time and I don't blame him for not taking his foot off the gas until the other team waves the white flag and puts in backups. Playing in New York is tough; Daniel Jones is a class act. Where many would pout or be angry Jones admits that he wasn’t as successful as he and the team wanted him to be. More importantly, Jones now will do whatever is needed to make the Giants a better team including rooting for his replacement to be a success. The NFL needs more people like Jones; if not for their winning success but for their ability to be a role model and how to act when things don’t go your way. I can say I saw Jones play one of his best games in 2022 against the Ravens; the upset and the Jones-led comeback is still the only starting loss Lamar Jackson has had against an NFC team!
