You have made me learn things about myself that have helped me in becoming a better person, a confident person, you have helped me in feeling more beautiful, happier. I had an emotional moment with my girlfriend, I cried and spoke from the heart about my hidden despair. She held me and shed tears for me too. After the dust settled we sat lying in my room (dark and dimly lit red from a wireless RGB bulb) and I sat in silence in her arms. My library was on shuffle and by the time the calm came, this was the song that was playing in the background. "Gentle" is the only word I can use to describe that moment.

I was first introduced to the Marías in 2019, my graduating year, by a person I’m no longer friends with. It was very much a one-sided friendship. And, while I do not miss him nor being friends with him, I miss being able to share this music with him. It’s bittersweet listening to this group but the music is just so unbelievably in a league of its own that my muddied history doesn’t even matter. I love you guys and your music and always will.
