Yes, James Newton Howard's score is too good for this trash film, I feel bad for him.
I'm gonna be fully honest now... I loved the movie when I was younger, it's still cool to watch, and I don't care for it's sense of creativity and lack of making bigger changes because it was never supposed to be canon and make you feel different for the spectacular cartoon... unlike the Star Wars Sequels that are represented as the new 'canon' that ruins the story many fans loved!
Despite its problems with missing effects, acting, direction, exposition it gives me a spiritual feeling and a brief look at what a Shyamalan Avatar universe would be like.
I hope they use this music in the Netflix series

@@stevenrogerman2110 Shymalan's film adaptation was indeed dumb as fuck but James Newton Howard's music was not, the OST was the movie's only redeeming factor and I would love it if Netflix were to bring Howard on board to score the upcoming live-action series.
They're not because the original composer for the cartoon is doing the music for that.

He stopped scoring his films after After Earth. Because he probably knew this movie, Lady in the Water, and After Earth are bad.

The movie may've been a massive sad bitter disappointment completely unworthy of the classic beloved perfect animated saga that the film version is suppose to be based on but my God, James Newton Howard's film score is so mind-blowingly & brilliantly epic, the only bright positive in an otherwise awful adaptation!!! Mr Howard has always masterfully crafted many a sensational film score to many a film in the past but I think that The Last Airbender ost is easily in his top 10 greatest ever :)

Look, i realize that the movie fell short of expectations, but you got to look at it from the writers perspective. you only have a certain limit of time that the movie can be, you can only incorporate so many things in a single movie before it looks rushed. maybe if a second or third movie is made, the producers will do better.
@@taylorschott8910 true, but what made me mad was the fact that it took 3 or 4 earthbenders to lift a single small rock, like c'mon. The bending in general fell short. That's why in my opinion, you shouldn't try and make a live adaptation of a movie that requires a lot of cgi if you don't have the skills/budget to properly animate it. Also, the choice of actors was a bit meh, not because of their skills though, but because they didn't really look like the actual characters. And dont even get me startes on the way the characters behaved. I'm still sorry for the actors (especially Aang's) they deserved a better script.

There isn’t any information about when they’ll start filming it.
This will be a whole new Continuity. So in this world, the Noah Ringer ’Aang’ doesn’t exist.
The creators of the show will be involved. And As long as Shyamalon stays away from it. It might be a good adaptation.

I have to admit the music did kick ass at some points.... the still still sucks ass though.

This movie is bad, so bad its not even a guilty pleasure. Superman 4 the Quest for Peace is a guilty pleasure, so is Batman and Robin. This movie is hot garbage. The difference is that those movies knew they were dumb and rolled with it, this is a dumb movie trying to be serious which is one of the biggest reasons it fails as a remake and as a movie.
