- For this entire ‘Make Your Own Game’ series, led by instructor, Zack Griset, we’re going to learn how to make a wall jumper game called ‘GLTCH’ from start to finish.
In this first lesson, a lot of information will be covered to provide you with a solid foundation to work with. We’ll explain exactly what Buildbox is and how you can use it to build your own game without using a single line of code.
Then you’ll get a detailed tour of the software’s options and settings, which will help you become more familiar with the features and editing tools that you’ll be using.

For anyone on Windows wondering how to the rotation was already 90 degrees when he imported it into the Main Screen, click on the background, click those 3 dots, and click Rotate Left or Rotate Right
I have a question. How to do you make the platforms and the spikes look diffrent and customize them? For some reson i can't even figure out how to make them a diffrent color because it doesn't even show that in the tutorial. If it is shown in the 4th tutorial it should be shown in the first before you show how to import it

Hey, I've downloaded the assets from the link in the description, yet the global options still do not appear! What did I miss? pls?
What version is this tutorial used on. The problem I have with these tutorials is that they never say which version they are using so you end up in tutorial space with your head melted when something on the video doesn’t match on your computer.

At 7:17 after platform has been clicked on the left panel, a window magically titled 'make your own game, gets magically dragged in from the top right hand corner. Where did you drag that in from, it doesn't appear when I click platform in the left hand section as shown in the video?

@@playingwithme141 The asset samples to follow along this tutorial are in the description of this video. Watch this video on UA-cam to get to it. You will be using your system window to drag the file over, so unless you get what he's got, it won't look that pretty. It will be in the Platforms folder, named Platform, will be a png

Yes, our only word of advice would be to adjust elements and make the game your own simply because there most likely will be duplicates of this on the App/Play stores.

Hello, I'm not sure if it was mentioned yet, But when I go to start a new game, I don't see the Glitch starter template? I only see 2D, 3D or Wizard, Do I have the correct version? Thank you Buildbox

When I drag the background image nothing happens, that wheel thing doesn't show. I'm stuck.
Whe dropping an image it says that it can only accept Png amages, the one i used being the one from the donwload assets.

You can! Buildbox 3 also allows you to create 2D games.

When I use the Wall Jump template, I se no PAUSE II Button on the Mind Map?
in the template selector select wall jump and change pause to checked k?

When i try to create a gamę i press create and it takes me to black screen 😢

I recommend downloading unity. You can atleast make 2d games in low end pc. And you just need to learn c# which is easy and u can make simple to complicated games unlike with visual scripting or bb2
This is not available in BB3 .
Correct, Buildbox Classic is it's own software.

@@goldboigg nah bud, this was when they were forcing everyone on pro plan to give up 10 percent of their revenue plus their payment. Everyone was publicly crapping on this idea lol. And I went ham on em. But thankfully, they fixed all that. So all good.
