  • In episode 9 of the 2022 XC Race Quad Build, I get the last parts that I was waiting on to finish up the build. Some new streamline brake lines, a durablue axle, and some billet lonestar racing hubs rounded out the build very well. Hope you are enjoying the build as it is slowly coming to a close. Thanks for watching!

What bumper are you running, is it custom made?

It’s a PRM summit front bumper. Long story short, PRM went out of business, but Southern Kentucky Motorsports (SKM) bought all of the rights to them and is now making them again. Look SKM up on Facebook and you can order one from them.

I love my Durablue axle they are solid and reliable and have a good warranty if even needed. Also do you know of anyways to clean the axles up good? mine is the same finish as yours and has some sort of residue after something like 4 snowy rides or so, so not much mud or dirt to get on there.

I don’t have much experience with cleaning them but I would assume a good degreaser would take most stuff off.

An old trick we used to do was use an old leather belt to polish axles. Just fold over once, suspend the rear up and start the engine. Put it in first gear to get the axle turning and pull onthe belt lightly. Guide the belt as you need to polish. Remeber use light pressure or the belt will wrap around the axle and slap everything in it path.

What tires and wheels are you running? Thinking of turning my mildly built mx trx450er to an Xc quad

Wheels are hiper tech 3 beadlocks with dual beadlock rears and tires are gbc xc masters, size 20x11x9 rears and 21x7x10 fronts. Great setup, I really like it.
