I literally checked my eyesight 2456 times when I saw you pop up on my feed. Michael, you were at top of the class since literally elementary school and you deserve this more than anyone. ngl ur acceptance list made me lowkey depressed but boi what a motivation lol. People, this man is the bombbb - guaranteed!
Hahah it's been a while! Hope you're doing well and thanks so much for the support! I guess spending all that time memorizing multiplication tables in elementary school really paid off lmao
Thank you for sharing so much of your story with us. I wish you the best of luck in your training and look forward to seeing more content from this channel!
Wow, I was expecting to experience the tiresome life of an adcom reading endless personal statements, but they was extremely well written and engaging. No wonder you got in to pretty much everywhere
Hey man, you’re videos are so great! Discovered your channel last night and watched all your videos haha. I was so excited to see you uploaded another one this morning! Keep up the great work!
I usually don't comment on UA-cam vids, but this was a great watch. Congrats on your acceptance and keep up the great content! Planning to apply 2021-2022 cycle!
yo dude... Thank you so much for this information. There isn't too much information out there for MD/PhD applicants so this was greatly appreciated. Also, I was wondering if you happened to apply to MD programs as well. If so, considering that you mentioned physician scientist, did that have any impact?
Did you read Dr Gray's "Personal Statement" book? ( he is a youtuber -future collab about MD PHD programs?) And did you read the "Seven Basic Plots" by Booker ( or other similar plot book) before writing your essay? fantastic essay and experiences. Your 9 offers were well deserved. :-) i do hope you create med tools that will help people in need all over the world. it is a noble goal.
I'm not familiar with those specific titles, frankly I'm not very trustful of "how to write a personal statement" books in general. I've tried reading some of them from other authors in the past and whether it be books or sample essays, I didn't really find them that helpful. There might be good ones out there, I just may not know about them!
It's definitely possible to get into med school with a lower GPA and/or MCAT! I personally think the most important aspects of your application are your essays and really your personal story on why you want to go into medicine

I love how you organized this and gave insights into your own writing process :)
Glad to see another content creator in the Penn MSTP!! We should connect once you matriculate in the fall!
That's so cool! Really excited to get to meet you and the rest of the MSTP this fall!! :)
This is extremely helpful! Once your program starts, please consider vlogging! would love to see your day to day life!
I’m 16 and hoping to pursue the MSTPs in the future. Thanks so much for this!

Focusing on only a few things was a surprising choice but effective

Great essay! Do you think your company will expand to be more than ultra sound machines and training?
Hopefully! Personally I’m interested on working on low-cost technologies in general, so we’ll see what happens!
Did u have a really high GPA? Is it possible to get in with a GPA on the lower end (not below a 3.0) a high MCAT score and a good essay?
