This is the best blade storage idea I've even seen. I have avoided building a storage cabinet under my saw because I have not seen an idea that I liked. Now I know exactly what to build. Thank you.
Everyone seems to talk about you blade storage, BUT the sled storage is genius. Most store theirs on a wall or hanging around. This is the first time I've seen your solution used.
This is phenomenal!!! I am in the process of upgrading my table saw station with wings, outfeed and understorage and will most definitely be adding your table saw blade storage to mine. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Two thumbs up, my friend!!!
Sure the blade storage is great and all, but the storage for the cross cut sled is fantastic! Thats one of the struggles I often have and usually end up standing it up on the rear fence.
+Paul “TheWoodKnight” Jenkins I always planned on doing this for my cross cut sled because I was doing the same thing! And while it was sitting on that back fence, I would knock it over all the time...
+WoodworkingManiak Tell me about it! Garage door open + a mild breeze, sled goes bang. Or if the wife forgets she's put it there, bang. Thankfully the current sled hasn't had any tumbles (heavier back fence). We don't have enough room under our saw (contractor saw on mobility cart, with a router table on the RHS), but having it on wheels looks like the perfect little cart to have floating nearby. Will definitely be building one just like it.
+John Conklin Yeah, I have been planning on putting my cross cut sled on a cabinet under there for quite some time. I wouldn't necessarily say where from... I'd say who, and their quality control.
that turned out real nice Tim - I have been wanting to make some blade storage for a while as my sandpaper cabinet has more blades in it than sandpaper - it never ends lol
Impressive cabinet! I have more parts in my dado set, and might have to make two drawers to fit everything in. Still, it's attractive, the idea of having every piece immediately available rather than digging down into the stack inside their case. Those self-closing drawers remind me of when Cadillacs first came with a trunk that closed like that. My friend's dad had one, and I was always forgetting and slamming the thing down instead of lightly easing it down, much to his chagrin.
+Wood Tools Workshop I thought I was going to need two drawers for this dado stack too, but I was able to fit it all... You can try to slam these drawers all you want, they just wont let you. They take over and close softly no matter what. :) I tried that out. I know what you are talking about, I had a friend that had a Benz the same way. He was always freaking out about people closing his doors softly.
Great ideas. I love the storage of the crosscut sled. I also love the blade storage. I have beeb looking for a way to store my tablesaw jigs, and a cabinet like this would be great. Thanks for the great video. Dave Simpson
Wow, very impressive. I have recently ordered a new cabinet style table saw and my first project will be to build an outfeed table and a cabinet to go under the extension table. You just gave me some great ideas of how to build the cabinet. I really like the idea of the sled fitting into this space. I also like the blade storage. I will have to figure out how to do this without a CNC, but your design is first class!! Excellent build!!
Really like the blade storage. I like your idea of them being right there handy dandy accessible. I think I may borrow your idea. One thing I may do different would be to put the inserts with each blade. Good stuff. Thnx for sharing. Also really like the x-cut sled at your reach
This perfect! I've been wanting to build something like this for a long time!!! I've designed it almost the same, but I love the blade storage idea!!! Brilliant! Great idea!!
Very nice ... well thought out. I would be proud of that.. woild never thought of soft close.. But now if i ever make one I'm going have to steal that idea
Very unique design! Love some of the details you included like the recessed dado blade sections. I’m going to make a variation of this for my shop that I’m building out. My channel is dedicated solely to cool innovations like this!
You wouldn’t happen to have the file you used to cut these on the CNC that you would like to share? I’d love to incorporate the storage on my cabinet. Thanks in advance.
very nice job and presentation. I have wanted a similar cabinet for some time and like some of your ideas very much. look fwd to seeing more of your videos. Thanks
Lol, I saw that tigerply stamp straightaway, those dudes owe you some marketing fees xD ... very nice cabinetry, looks like you'll save a few days over a year or two with that
+Tom Cummings Thank you, I didn't make face frames so I could use every inch of storage. Used a Freud drawer lock bit to make the drawers so I wouldn't have to make drawer faces to save on material.
Nice Tim! The saw blade storage is sweet. Kaizen foam is the best. Where did you get the premium birch tigerply? Only have classic birch at the menards around here and one of the two sheets I recently bought looks like a Pringles now:(
+Tyler G Thank you Tyler! I have used the TigerPly Classic, and even with that it didn't have nearly as many voids as the ply I was buying ad the blue box store... The classic did potato chip some, but as long as you were making structure, it worked fine. EDGE is about $11-20 more per sheet. I've been happy with it. It's not baltic birch by no means... But still for around $50/sheet NO VOIDS! :)
+Wood By Wright There was one time a few years ago I was searching and searching for Baltic Birch in my town and happened to come across Tigerply at this Mom & Pop's builder's place... Haven't used anything else since.
This is so nice! I really want to take this on but think it's a bit above my skill level. So, I keep it in my watch later folder until I have better skills! :)
can't wait to see your crosscut video, i need to make a new one bad, saw ferry's and would like to see your take! seems that tiger ply doesn't want our business. go on their site and there are no listed suppliers or emails. last thing i want to do after a long day of talking to reps is get home and talk to more regional reps.. .
+Hightower Thanks for watching! I still have to edit the cross cut sled video... I'd recommend emailing them. Tell them where you are located and ask for a supplier list. They might get back with you pretty quickly... Worth sending an email at least to try. :/ Hey, tell them you saw a cool video with someone using their product. HA! :D
+Hightower I went ahead and contacted them. They are happy to speak with anyone who is interested in finding their product. Great storage ideas, and great video! Do you remember more specifically which soft close drawer slides you used? I'm planning out a similar project, and I love the idea of soft-close slides, but I'm trying to keep the cost per drawer lower because I'm planning on a very large number of shorter drawers. Thanks for all of the information!
+Robert Consiglio The ones that I happened to use in this cabinet were Liberty 20" drawer slides from HD because I was in time constraints... For cost I would recommend ordering from Outwater. They have the slides for ~65% of the price of big box stores. I just didn't have time to order at the time.
I read in the comments from 4 years ago that you were going to edit your take on the Nick Ferry cross sled video. I've looked through all your videos and web site and don't see it. Am I blind or did you not get around to doing it? BTW, what is the thickness of your blade drawers?
+Stuff Seth Makes The voids would mostly be irritating for the blade trays... But would cause problems for the dados because the voids would be weak spots. If they are weak, they will snap off and then I no longer have tray slides... :/
Well duh. It seems obvious, now. Cut dado slots into a horizontal cubby to slide the crosscut sled into. I hang mine on a wall, but I don't like it. I've leaned it against other stuff. Didn't like that, either. I like your idea.

Glad it's helpful!
Everyone seems to talk about you blade storage, BUT the sled storage is genius. Most store theirs on a wall or hanging around. This is the first time I've seen your solution used.
+Richard Hiller Thank you, I've been planning on it for a long time. Just never got around to doing it until now.
Nice Tim. Man, everything slides so darn smoooth....
+GuysWoodshop They sure do. :) A little paste wax...
Wow that's awesome Tim. I love the blade storage!
+April Wilkerson Thank you! That is my favorite part. :)
I love how you put dados to match the table saw for your cross-cut sled to slide into. An idea worthy of copying!
+Jeremy McMahan Go for it, patent pending... I'm not charging royalties yet... HAHA... Just kidding. Thanks for watching!
That looks awesome. It's so well thought out. I love the CNC cutouts for the saw blades. Nice job.
+RetroWeld Thank you! I'm sure there will be something I'll think of later that I wish I added as I start fitting things in... :)
This is phenomenal!!! I am in the process of upgrading my table saw station with wings, outfeed and understorage and will most definitely be adding your table saw blade storage to mine. Thank you so much for sharing this with us. Two thumbs up, my friend!!!
I love having these blade storage drawers. I recommend anyone to add them as a feature.
wow. the cross-cut sled on the dado tracks is genius!
Thank you! It keeps that sled in place just right.

+Paul “TheWoodKnight” Jenkins Being on wheels and near the saw would be pretty much just as handy!
Great cabinet. Incorporating your crosscut sled storage on top is nifty! Guess it depends on where the plywood is imported FROM.
+Nick Ferry Thank you! I still need to make a sandpaper storage area. First I need to make a place to do sanding other than my table saw... :)
WoodworkingManiak ha same here - right now my saw if my glue up table, finishing table, workbench and assembly table
+Nick Ferry Yep. Exactly how my work has been done for a while. Need to build an assembly table sometime soon.
I love the blade storage drawers/trays. Simply awesome!
+Dread Knot Woodshop Been Super handy! Quite a time saver when things are right where you need them.
Great idea on the saw blade tray.
+Mike Fulton Thank you! They are handy!

Thanks for watching. Glad I was able to provide some ideas!
Is your video on the crosscut sled available? I couldn't find it. I like the way it is stored on the cabinet. Great idea!
nice! love the blade drawer's!
+Matt Diresta Thank you! Handy as can be!
Thanks for sharing - the blade storage is a great idea!
+Andreas Kalt thank you!
This cabinet is awesome!
+Mattley Thank you!
Awesome set up Tim! That cabinet looks really useful and I love how you made a storage place for your cross cut sled!
+Mike Merzke It has been crazy useful already. I'm still sorting out what I want in it, but I'm exited to finally have storage under my saw.
Those saw drawers are amazing! I need to make some!
+Josh Millar I'm loving it! Go for it!

Ron, I am going to have these trays available on my website soon. Feel free to send me an email and I can send you the link once active.
Thanks for the reply, sounds like a great idea@@WoodworkingManiak
Well done sir! Very well built and thought out cabinet!
+Shop Nation Thank you! It's been very handy for sure.
Stealing many features for mine ;) thanks ha ha ha, great design!!
No problem! Steal away. That's why I share.
Really like the blade storage. I like your idea of them being right there handy dandy accessible. I think I may borrow your idea. One thing I may do different would be to put the inserts with each blade. Good stuff. Thnx for sharing. Also really like the x-cut sled at your reach
Great ideas! That's way better than the scrap bin I have under mine! I'll have to copy(ish) it.
+Chet Weatherl Yeah, I had a scrap bin under mine before too...
Great design, i plan to make a similar cabinet this summer and i like the sled and blade storage.
+Evan Dunville Awesome, go for it! Thanks for watching!
That is a cool storage unit Tim,very well thought out!!
+BCdesign Thanks! I'm so happy to finally have some Table Saw area organization started.
This perfect! I've been wanting to build something like this for a long time!!! I've designed it almost the same, but I love the blade storage idea!!! Brilliant! Great idea!!
+Mac n Wood I have been needing to build this for a very long time as well. My biggest hurdle was time to get around to doing it.
Sweet TS accessory cabinet Tim! Sexy drawer pulls also, I've got some of those too!
+Mike Kapotsy I'm very happy with the drawer pulls for sure.
Really nice!
+Xyienced Thank you!
Very nice ... well thought out. I would be proud of that.. woild never thought of soft close.. But now if i ever make one I'm going have to steal that idea
+keith binion Thank you! Go for it, I am going to have plans when I get time to write them out.
Very nice. I really like the blade storage. Great idea!
+Hardnox Thanks! It's super handy.
Hey love ur cabinet, great job 👍
Thank you!
Great storage plan for the saw blades.
Very unique design! Love some of the details you included like the recessed dado blade sections. I’m going to make a variation of this for my shop that I’m building out. My channel is dedicated solely to cool innovations like this!
+Shop Nation I'm glad I could provide some inspiration. Thanks for watching.
Great video! I've been wondering what to do to store all of my table saw accessories and this would definitely be helpful!
+Rockin B Woodworks Great! I'm glad this was helpful to you. :)
I briefly mentioned this video on the latest Woodworking Top Videos show that just when live! Thank you for being awesome!
+Awesome Wood Things Cool stuff dude! Thanks for sharing!
Very cool. Really like the blade and sled storage.
Great cabinet for your saw! I really like the blade storage and sled storage. Thanks for the video.

Really cool idea with the sled storage. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!

Thank you!
Dude! That thing came out awesome. I'm looking forward to the sled vid.
+Greg's Garage Thanks! It's nice having everything handy right where I need it.
Really nice design!
Excellent job on the accessories cabinet. I am just about to start building one for my Lathe accessories and Tormek T8 sharpening system.
Very nice
Thank you!
Very nice Tim ! It really came together great
+The ShavingWood Workshop Thank you! I'm excited to have that storage!
Love the project! I also use Tigerply and love it.
It's impressive for imported plywood.
I realize that this video is a few years old, but it is awesome. I enjoy the content that you post. Keep up the great work! Cheers
Thank you! I'm soon going to be remaking this and selling plans as well as selling the trays.
You wouldn’t happen to have the file you used to cut these on the CNC that you would like to share? I’d love to incorporate the storage on my cabinet. Thanks in advance.
Fantastic build! Will plans be available?
+Ben Fairfield I hadn't considered it. I might work up plans and post them on my website when I write up the article.
+WoodworkingManiak awesome! Would be worth paying for in my opinion! saves me a ton of time! Keep up the great work!
very nice job and presentation. I have wanted a similar cabinet for some time and like some of your ideas very much. look fwd to seeing more of your videos. Thanks
Nicely done really like the blade storsge
+Black Widow Woodworks Thank you! It's a time saver having those as handy as they are now.
Nice Job Tim, looks good.
+Miter Mike's Woodshop Thank you! It's been great to finally have some storage under my saw instead of a mess...
There's a lot of clever ideas in this. Very nice.
+bentcountershaft Thank you!

+Аleksey Bek Thank you! It's serving me well.
very nice. I love that blade holder...
+Nate Daggett Thank you!
I really like the sawblade drawers that was the best part
Thank you. They are extremely handy for sure!
sweet cabnet! I am going to see if there is any tiger ply near me! thanks for the great ideas!
+Wood By Wright There was one time a few years ago I was searching and searching for Baltic Birch in my town and happened to come across Tigerply at this Mom & Pop's builder's place... Haven't used anything else since.
Sweet! I love it when you are looking for one thing and fins something all together new!
+Wood By Wright And better priced than baltic birch!
+WoodworkingManiak what is the price where you are at?
Very nice build. Top Notch.
+Shane's Hobby Shop Thank you! I've been happy with it.
This is so nice! I really want to take this on but think it's a bit above my skill level. So, I keep it in my watch later folder until I have better skills! :)
Awesome blade storage. Now I guess I just need to buy an $8,000 shop bot to make mine. Think the wife will be on board with that?
+christschool Sounds reasonable to me... :) I'm sure she'll understand.
can't wait to see your crosscut video, i need to make a new one bad, saw ferry's and would like to see your take!

Thanks for the info, I'll tell them you sent me! Ha
I love this cabinet and want to build one very similar for my saw. I wish I could buy those blade storage trays in your online shop.
Very nice. It looks GRrrrrrrrrrrreat !!
+David Bishop Thanks!
I read in the comments from 4 years ago that you were going to edit your take on the Nick Ferry cross sled video. I've looked through all your videos and web site and don't see it. Am I blind or did you not get around to doing it?
BTW, what is the thickness of your blade drawers?
very nice ideas Tim
+Patrick's work shop Thanks man!
I'm curious why any voids in the ply would mess up the whole project?
+Stuff Seth Makes The voids would mostly be irritating for the blade trays... But would cause problems for the dados because the voids would be weak spots. If they are weak, they will snap off and then I no longer have tray slides... :/
Nice over all. The cross cur sled storage is a great idea. How did you get the saw trays to slide so easily? Scott
+The 2 Car Garage Shop Thank you! The trays are about 1/64" smaller than the dados and I added a little paste wax.
Do you offer/ share a pattern for the cabinet?
Lots of good ideas, thx!
Great storage solution, really love those blade trays, great solution. Where is the local store you found the plywood?
+Matt Williams Thank you! It's just a Family owned store here in my town. No chain stores near me carry's TigerPly. I wish they did.
Thad a sweet storage solution, like I said I'm using the table saw blade storage in mine lol
+Dema's WoodShop Awesome, glad I can give you some ideas. Looking forward to seeing yours completed!
you have a sketch up drawing of the cabinet?that is what I need
very cool ! respect!! and hello from Belgium Europ
Thanks for watching!
you could bump the exposure down a bit on your camera to get rid of the wash out look you're getting.
+Holt Preston I agree, this was the second video I used my newly purchased studio lights. Still getting used to those. :/
Very nice! Where did you get those drawer handles? Those are bad ass
+C-Kicks I made them. Check out Nick Ferry's video on making drawer handles.
Woodworking Maniak thanks. I rewatched the video don't know how I missed that.
C-Kicks No problem. Thanks for watching!
that is so cool tim and such a great and handy idea-☆☆☆☆☆
+Joe basementwoodworking Thank you!
Well duh. It seems obvious, now. Cut dado slots into a horizontal cubby to slide the crosscut sled into. I hang mine on a wall, but I don't like it. I've leaned it against other stuff. Didn't like that, either. I like your idea.
Glad to be of help.
cool for a beginner but dude...blablabla
