    Hey this was a great project, thanks for the plans. I have the contractors sawstop so I changed some of the measurements. Same height and depth but only 19 inches wide. I loved the technique of cutting the drawer fronts from one panel this gave my cabinet a great look. In fact it looks to nice to be in my shop. It’s nice when you learn something new.

    The spacers are great for aligning drawer hardware. A good tip is to lay the cabinet on its side when installing them, gravity holds the slide and the spacer in place, keeping hands free for attaching.

    Great video. Question... Did you remove the SawStop supporting table legs to allow the cabinet to fit under the saw and get the full width possible? If so, is there something that you installed to fill the gap so the table top won't sag?

    Love the look! But I’m curious about what the actual advantage is for a vertical drawer? It would seem that ordinary drawers could hold all the same tools and eliminate the need to make hangers.
    Do you ever glue your pocket hole joints?
    Do you apply any finish to your shop cabinets?

    Thank you for the video. I plan to build one for my sawstop as well. I have a question for you. It looks like you removed the legs that are under the extension table in order to get that wide of a cabinet under it. I have searched all over the internet to find out how necessary those legs are and have found nothing definitive about it. How has removing the legs worked out for you? I never put much on that table other than a stack of what I’ve cut and a stack of what I plan to cut.

    • @sandrarattray1202
      @sandrarattray1202 4 роки тому

      R W did you get an answer to your question? I’m wondering the same thing. I have the SS 3HP PCS with 36” extension and would like to build this table but the dimensions don’t work with the legs.

    • @rw7532
      @rw7532 4 роки тому +1

      @@sandrarattray1202 I have not. From everything I’ve read, mostly on forums, the only conclusion I can arrive at are those legs are just there as a precaution against the saw tipping to the right. It would take a lot of weight to get the saw to tip but I reckon it’s engineered that way just in case. I think what I am going to do is build the cabinet under the wing and mount leveling feet up side down and just slightly butt them up against the bottom of the wing at the far right edge ( as you face the side with the saw’s controls).

  • @daddywoofdawg

    I drew a design very close to that and posted the design on FB about a month ago, and then started the build.I see a couple Ideas of yours I may go back and do I used a full sheet as a divider may pull it out and do strips like you did,(save wood)

  • @michaeltucker5222
    @michaeltucker5222 2 роки тому +1

    Question about the plans you provide for this build, is Kerf width considered in your cut layout? Looking at your plans It doesn't look like it. Not ignoring that all plywood size varies +/- I want to be sure that I understand what is being recomended in the plans will work on a standard sheet of plywood purchased from a bigbox store.

    • @Fixthisbuildthat
      @Fixthisbuildthat  2 роки тому

      Kerfs are not shown in the cut diagram, but are accounted for so all cuts can be made from the sheet and a standard of 1/8" Kerfs for each cut. Hope that makes sense
