I'm so glad I found your review of this mixer. I have the same one and when I connected it to test it before a little gig this weekend, I found that the mixer is filtering out the vocals of whatever song I play. I believe that your video helped me out with this issue, but I have to wait until tomorrow to find out because I can't do it right now. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for such a great tutorial.
@@PrestonKallshian Thank you. It was your video and a little bit of tinkering that did it. In short, the problem was the mini plug that connected to my iPad. I have to also clean out the iPad's mini plug socket.
On the 4 channel Pyle Mixer, Aux sends can be used for live on stage monitors. 2 different mixes. Drums and vocals. Good job on the instruction. The Kaptain (45 years twisting and sliding knobs.)
Great video, this really helped me. I know how to use a mixer in genreal, but I was struggling with how to connect to the computer with the USB. I am now able to plug mics into the mixer and record into my Mac Air, open a Mic track in Garage Band and record vocals, with or without the built in FX.
I just got the Pyle pro pmxu67bt 4ch. I love it, I have not figured out how to hookup my Mackie CR3-X sub. right now, I have the Mackie 3" studio speakers plug directly into the main out. grate video, Thx
The Bluetooth is an input only. Also, you cannot use Bluetooth and USB at the same time. I never use the Bluetooth. I plug mics and phone into the mixer wired. I plug the mixer into my pc via USB.
Great tutorial. You pointed out a few things that are NOT mentioned in the manual. I found a bad cable after watching your tutorial. I still haven't figured out changing volume on computer backround music playing during my stream. But I feel I know so much more now Thanks!!
Connect the Hercules output to the mixer into one if the first four combo jacks using the xlr or a headphone output. Usually this requires an adapter for 1/8" headphones to 1/4". There are many ways to do this.
@@PrestonKallshian thank you for the reply . i have had this hooked up this was since i bought this , the problem i have is i can not use the PA volume it will only volume up with the audio mixer . i have tried many many ways to change this but i have not figured it out . is this the only way to hook this up to my PA ?
Not sure i understand. PA volume is completely independent of the mixer so you would have to figure that out. Maybe you are plugged into an input that does not have amplification. This mixer requires an amplifier to boost the sound to speakers.
@@PrestonKallshian thanks what i have for PA is a phonic powerpod 1860 plus s715PA now where i have the 1/4 jacks coming from the audio mixer out to the PA . using what they call power amp input . and every thang works but nothing on the pa will work when it is plugged in this way to the amp . it's like the pa is only a power supply for the audio mixer . is there something else i should plug into ? what is a source of input on the PA where a guitar would plug in ? and if so do you use 2 channells like say 9 -10 or 11-12 . the way it is now nothing on the PA will work . no vol or efx nothing but power for the audio mixer . i guess im just confused . thanks for any help at all .
Okay thanks. Plug the PA speakers into the speaker outputs on the back of the mixer. Those are the amplified outputs. Make sure the power amp selector is on either A or B speaker connection. Everything else is plugged into an input in the mixer. Mics, guitars, phone, anything... put into an input channel.
It can connect to anything. In this case you would connect a mixer output into your phone and the mixer becomes the phone mic. You might need specific cables and adapter depending on what phone. You cannot do this Bluetooth.
Hi, Thanks so much for doing this. The “manual,” if you can call it that really doesn’t tell you how to use it at all. I got the 12 channel version. With the record function can you record live playing etc. direct to a usb stick? I tried putting one in and holding down the record button but it doesn’t engage. When I bought it I thought I might be able to use it as a budget recording device for home jams.
@@PrestonKallshian hey thanks i kindof have let it sit. I really want to know how to use it but I'm not super proficient in this stuff and like I said tgeres no real literature on it. If you know how to use it for all its functions I'd be all ears. Tag me. Thanks!

@PrestonKallshian Would you recommend the Pyle Pro Mixer 6 Channel Pro or 8 Channel Pro for music recording? I would be using it to hookup four synthesizer channels, guitar, microphone etc. I need to upgrade from my entry line Mackie mixer, as I have run out of inputs. Is Pyle Pro quality enough for instruments or would you recommend a brand like Solid State Logic or Soundcraft? Last question, do you prefer analog or digital mixers? Do you feel that digital mixers have caught up in terms of audio quality? Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide!
Sounds like you need at least 8 channels. You really have to count the inputs and map it out. I think mackie is higher end than pyle. Pyle is budget pro lol
@@PrestonKallshian Ah, thank you for the input! So it's budget? It works as an audio interface as well, correct? Does it record each input or mix it down to two tracks?

Great video!! I bought the Pyle PMXU67BT and have figured out most of it. The user manual, as you mention, is sparse and I haven't been able to connect, via USB to USB C cable, from the mixer's USB port to my iPhone 15's USB C input. I want to connect to send everything going into the mixer out to input the iPhone, where I can record it. Is my understanding that this can be accomplished correct? To set it to do this, do I need to simply press the mode button until PC displays? I haven't been successful doing this at this writing, but plan to keep trying. I was unsure if there needs to be a long or short push on the button in combination with something else. Again, the user manual is sketchy. There's not much 'how-to' info. Thanks!
??? When you hook up mixer to PC, does it pick up static like crackling from the PC? I had a Behringer with 48v phantom power and the static from PC came through recording and couldn't use it...
One thing that I couldn't get to work is I cannot get the sound from the Laptop to play out, into the mixing board, so that I can play with the sound, EQ etc. If you have any info on that, that would be a great video, just how to use this as an in and out with a DAW like Garage Band. Thanks!
I use this mixer for a karaoke setup. I'm running a powered floor monitor from the aux out. channels 1 thru 4 vocals are coming thru the monitor, however the music from my Macbook connected via usb is not. What do i need to do to get the music to come thru the monitor?
Hmmm not sure. Make certain the mp3 slider is up, that is the usb volume. Also, I would use a different output. Use a combiner and take the main outputs into the speaker.
No it does not need an amp to operate with a PC. If you have pc speakers they are amplified. If you use another speaker system, they do need to be powered.
@@PrestonKallshian Thank you I just received mine and trying to figure the best way to hook up to my speakers. The have bare wire connectors, not 1/4 in receptacles.
I think so. However, the xlr outputs are in stereo so you would need one for left and one for right. Then you need one for each speaker as well. There are probably better solutions.
