if you want to hear mission control be angry at gold you can just spamclick the gold as fast as you can, every ping is a chance to annoy him even if your voice is on cooldown

Also, at 14:58, You need to MASH the LMB when pinging the compressed gold to get a rise out of MC. I was able to invoke his wrath twice, fast, pinging it along, in a group of four.

Pots of gold only work on gold mined with a pickaxe. Loot bugs and gold mine any other way don't count...well loot bug's sorta count but that's only if they eat the gold that you already mined since anything they eat gets a .2 multiplier

Mineral are worth far more then all the gold in a cave even with pot's of gold. Of course no one will blame you for refusing to go to some maps and I sure won't tell you to stop mining gold because that would make me a hypocrite
I use my flare gun all the time, even during this recording session, it wasn't exactly my prority to show me shooting a single flare. That's why the drednaught fights were well lit.
Pretty sure the faster you ping the compressed gold the faster it registers for mission control to get mad at it even the voicelines you make don't increase.

If you do this again I highly recommend pinging mining minerals (especially nitra) and cave leeches, they provide one of the best lines
