Sterban was always the man despite his ridiculous look today. Anybody who thinks he can't sing low needs to listen to the end of 'Trying to Love Two Women' where he hits a low F. And His low Gs are loud, rich and clear. Always loved the Mighty Oaks since I was a kid!
Oh my goodness. Can we not just enjoy this fine singing and admit that ALL of these men have fine singing voices without having to compare their voices - usually to the detriment of at least one. personally, I love The Oakridge Boys singing - ALL of them, and I also love Ernie Haase and Signature Sound , including Tim Duncan , although sadly he is no longer with them.
I love Gaither Vocal Band, The Oak Ridge Boys and Ernie Haase And Signature Sound. I like Tim Duncan because he's so young, with that deep voice. Sterban is darker, yes, but NOBODY can get deeper than John Daniel Sumner! John Daniel Sumner is the king of bass-singers!
It's called BASS. Most men are baritones, the next largest amount are tenors. Bass is actually a very rare voice type. I'm a female equivalent of bass, a contralto. Thats just as rare, despite what people think contralto is, most 'altos' are mislabeled low range mezzo soprano, just as low baritones get mislabeled bass. Its a different vocal texture not just range. (I sometimes get called a female baritone which sucks too). A bass singer makes you notice him. For sure. Just saying.
Dream come true for Mr. Tim Duncan, you can tell it all over his face.........its these guys that me glad that im a Lead Bass Singer and not juss a harmony bass,,,,,,,not that harmony bass isnt good,, juss lead is more fun lol
Where do you get that from? Richard regularly hits low As and Gs which are the standard note for good bass singers. He has hit a low E on occasion too. He hits lower and more fuller than most bass singers today.
You must be referring to the Eb2, a semitone lower than the E2 required in order to be classified as a bass-baritone. Honestly, I think Tim falls under this category, but almost makes up for it with his vocal fry, which is powerful, but has far less tone than Richard Sterban's notes in the same range. Tim's voice isn't nearly as low as everyone says it is.
Nothing wrong with Tim Duncan. He is a fantastic singer but hasn't been doing it anywhere near as long as Richard so I would expect Richard to be better. Tim is fantastic though and there's no getting away from it.
MR. STERBAN IS A LEGEND AND WAS GETTING THEM LOW NOTES BEFORE HOT MICS WERE EVEN THOUGHT OIF ONE OF THE TRUE BASS SINGERS IN MUSIC HISTORY
I saw the live at the Kansas State Fair! They were AMAZING!

Melody, This is for you.
Diese Männer sind brillant und Richard ist ein sehr freundlicher Mann und ist ein großartiger Bassist

1:16 yeah buddy
Hugs From Norway!
Klemmer Fra Norge!
Go Tim
Sie sind glänzend und Richard ist der beste Bassist, den ich überhaupt gehört habe. Ich liebe sie!
Go boys
My doubs, and if so, they are fried beyond recognition.

This is truly amazing! I had always considered Tim Duncan really deep until I heard this guy!
Sterban FTW. Can't believe he is near 70 old
True
@JD9712 Yeah, totally different class. Sterban: legit. Tim: vocal fry. That's what classes they're in.
Duncan was actually a Tenor who tried to sing bass on a dare. He does good as a bass, but no where near as good as Sterban.
But remember Richard can't go as low as other bass singers but he has a manlier tone to his voice
100% right...and lets not forget harold ried of the Statlers...he is awesome and funny...and tim riley is now the best bass sing in my opinion
i swear thats noal edmands of deal or no deal playing the piano :D
Sterban ftw.
John Daniel Sumner has the deepest voice in ever mankind.
We all know you don't have to rub it in
He never hits a chest note below a low G if even that. The rest below that is complete smokers fry.
If anyone thinks this is low listen to JD Sumner.
C (negative)2 is what he meant to imply.
Yes it is called bass and I'm privileged to be on I can hit C -2 when I fry when I don't around C0 C -2 is 2 octaves and five notes lower than a piano

Richard sterban
Which song?
I can sing that low
i can hit richard sterbans notes. and im 11
What happened to the black guy???? I liked him.
like i said 100% agree..but there are still others out there...but jd will be the lowest ever i believe

Tim is better than Sterban !!!!
Sterban rips it; Duncan gets nowhere near it.
Different class of singer.
@otniell rofl, now i've heard everything... duncan is a high baritone at best; my 7yo cousin can rip him easily... -> duncan is a JOKE.
