I liked the mitered corner explanation. Thanks Come on Guys. Over a thousand views and only a couple of comments and less than 50 thumbs up. Comments are how You Tubers get their channels recognized. It doesn't take much to say thank you. It lets Christine know we appreciate her and the tremendous effort it takes to make these videos.
Love your videos! You have great content and I like your soothing voice. Thanks for stuff in inches. Really liked your video on shopping bags! Good job. 🎄😁love from North Pole Alaska
Thank you so much, for this great tutorial. I am a beginner, and I thought Tea towels, for me, e was a great way to begin. I have some nice Bark cloth that came from Hawaii, if you have any pointers on how to work with that type of cloth, please let me know. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful skill and talent with us all.
Hi Tracy. If you're a very new beginner, try using some regular cotton to practice with first. It'll give you confidence, and you'll get to know how to work with the fabric. As for the bafk cloth, if you have enough to spare, I'd cut a strip and practice hemming it and placing layers together, including curved layers with a seam to see how it fairs.
just discovered you and been watching back to back videos since . just find your tutorials so informative and easy to follow. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and tips really helpful to this newbie sewer you explain so well it gives me confidence so I am off now to do a towel topper I am hooked ;-)))
Your sewing space is great. Clean and organized ❤️ That’s my biggest struggle 😟 Can you make a video about your organizational skills ? Maybe I can pick up some much needed tips. Thank you, I love your calm way of instructing in your videos.
Haha. I went in my sewing room last night, and walked right on out. It was such a mess. I often have to tidy it up before I start a project. I have been thinking about a video on my machines and sewing spaces. 😀

Hi Christine. Quilting cotton doesn't absorb very well. I'd use cotton ticking, towelling , or something else that will absorb moisture. I wouldn't use micro fibre myself as I don't like how it feels 🤪
Just found your channel.... LOVE IT.. question i know very little about fabric so..... what kind of fabric was that i get it was cotton but not quilting cotton.
Thanks Sherrie. In this video I've used quilting cotton, but often will use furnishing fabric. I'd stabilise cottons and lightweight fabric, but not furnishing fabric 😀
I liked the mitered corner explanation. Thanks

My pleasure! 😀
Could you please tell me what kind of fabric you are using, please. Thank you for this video.
I've used a cotton ticking fabric for these
Would also like to see a demo of tea towels bordered with fabric strips.
Not quite sure what you mean by "fabric strips" Marcia? If you could let me know, I'll get it done 😊

Hi Christine
Just wondering how absorbent ordinary quilting cotton is or have you used a special type of cotton or other fabric?
Hi Christine. Quilting cotton doesn't absorb very well. I'd use cotton ticking, towelling , or something else that will absorb moisture. I wouldn't use micro fibre myself as I don't like how it feels 🤪
Thank you for asking! I’m going through the comments for just this question.

Have you ever made them with different fabric on the back side?
I haven't done so yet Celara 😁
Christine, you don’t mention what type of fabric you are using. It looks like a heavier cotton?
Vicki, I'm using fabric I rescued in a house cleanout we did. It's like a cotton ticking fabric. A little more absorbent than quilting cotton 😁
