Moving them out. . Yes. . I was just looking at the hummingbird migration map. Spring is here. . Good stuff Ian. I bet you're excited to see them in a yard.
There's nothing like getting shit on by your girls after they held it in for 5 month...mhmhmm lemme tell ya...I missed that smell since last spring 😂😂😂 I'm officially done with moving bees out. Two truck loads 120 each and a bunch of 5 framers. And again, just like last year, I had better success overwintering 5 frame NUCS. And I can tell you your entrances look clean compared to mine. Just finished treating with fuma for the first time in YEARS.
@@philbeeman Hey Phil, have you and Ian sat down for coffee yet to figure out a name for these pre replacement hive splits for a path to stability? Great presentation you gave at the Red River Apiarist Association, The comments are turned off, but I gave the video a thumbs up.
Checked on mine today. All queens are laying well, so I dropped in a patty and a liter of sugar syrup as the patty dropped on last week was ablut 98% consumed. The temp will drop later this week, so gotta get while the getting is good.
Доброго здоровья Вам! Всегда с большим удовольствием смотрю Ваши видео. Мне нравится учиться у Вас , как Вы ведете свой бизнес. Удачи Вам и здоровья Вашей семье!
Wouldn't a crane scale that prints tickets help? Can you use just the weight of the boxes for some decisions? Every time you pick a pallet off the truck pin the ticket to the hive. Might help you stop opening the hives so much. lol
my girls in western NY are going gang busters, already showing 5+ frames of brood, and some of my triple deeps that i added an extra during the winter from dead outs are showing 10+ frames of brood. so its going to be early splits with our weather looking int the 60s F next week.
I love watching this! We have a guy here in Michigan that has a refrigerated winter shed , I got a tour ,what game changer, clean bees are the key, but I think less stress on the bee if they spent 3 or 4 months at an even temperature and no howlingcold artic wind pounding them.(you could have put bees out a month ago here). That lid cracking is a real distraction!
I checked mine 29 march wintered outdoors . They have a small 8-10 " patches of capped brood . And one has a patch of eggs and larvae . I wonder if yours have any brood at this point or do they need to see daylight to get triggered to raise brood .. Your hives have great number of bees that made it thru the winter .
That's great news getting them out. What about a flatbed trailer at the maximum overall length for the truck and trailer, have a EZloader on the trailer.
@boscodog4358 Lots of the summer yards are on neighbors farms - if you want to make them mad and lose those apiaries just leave some big ruts in their roads/fields from trying to get into the sites to early. They won't be working that land for about 3 weeks. So this allows them to get all the colonies out so they can. 1: FLY 2: Assessed - Medicated - Fed Much easier and faster to do all the spring duties when they are in one location. Then when the permanent apiaries have dried out they move them into the summer yards.
@keithfaithful3989 @barkersbees Because Miss Sandy told him to??? 😁😁 Just guessing that their is a lot of bee dust on the colonies from the dead and this would protect his lungs from " Farmers Lung" usually caused by grain dust but would have the same negative long term health effects.
Vacation over bee telling the king bee joke soon enough

Once you crack it you stop it. 😂 my kids hate it when I say I just want to look at a couple… it’s never a couple😂
Thank for always updating those bulk bee/brood less splits! Such a great concept for increase!
Yeah what a great idea!

They are like potato chips. You can never eat just one, and you can never peak in just one hive.
good thing they are not any stronger, you would have to split in a snow storm. spring is good
They are looking good especially the bulk bees

I always love this move out video each year because it means we are back to bee work videos!
12 to 15 loads total?
The week of the 8th is gooooo time
I am always excited to look inside my hives and I also have cats that cannot help themselves to do all kind of stuff 'just one more time😀
Am I seeing the feeder plugs inverted on the lids? Reason?
Raccoons lol

At what outside temp do you move your bees outside?
10 degrees is nice
I have scout bees on may swarm trap today.

Почему у него грузовик не буксует? Земля же еще не просохла.
Yay, mixing syrup this afternoon, it’s go time.
When do the bears wake up?
Always a good sign to see a 5 or 6 frame nuc over winter
There are those times of year that they work must get some. Thanks for sharing your day Ian.
Lookin' Good! Better than last year, for sure.
Some effort that 👊
Congratulations on getting them out ! Looks good
Why did you set the bees down in your crop land.?
Are you going to move them again?

What’s with the mask? Canada Mandates? Or do your bees have the flu😆
