      @@philosophy1574 nice! I've been waiting since 2019, what's another year? :) I hope it is somewhat like Keith Seddon's version. I love when the ancient Greek gets translated word for word and has a translation dictionary in the front or back of the book.

    Just a clarification: If I do not squander my life, I value it to a sufficient degree for death to represent a loss to me. That seems enough to undermine the squandering argument. An Epicurean holds that fearing death means not living life well (I take it?). So an Epicurean cannot consistently think this. Is that right? Not a logical contradiction as such, as you say. I suppose my thought is that you can not squander life to a degree such that death looks like a loss, yet not live well in a fuller sense. I might be an Epicurean and think this . . . and just admit I don’t live it well. I’m not a very good Epicurean - all theory and no practice?
