Excellent video! Thanks for this 😁 I'll also use your idea of time sensitive tasks for my own students 😎 they'll hate it in the short term, but it'll be good for 'em!
Thank you! Do it, haha. I tell my students exactly the same thing. I wasn't sure they believed me so I made this: ua-cam.com/video/S3p54hl3CQY/v-deo.html But yeah, working under pressure is a skill I don't see many other educators pushing, which is why I'm so hated by all my students
Lots of great advice! I feel like this is the kind of information that is really sparse in the motion design niche on youtube so thanks for making this video. Also, IMO, there is so much value in discussing the money side of things...so...I had about 2-3 months salary saved before going freelance (and also only 1 client) but they had me booked for two more animations, so that helped...🙃
Thank you! And thanks for sharing your story re: money side of things. Money in freelance and client management could be two separate videos on their own, hence briefly touching on them
Solid highly subjective, controversial and probably just plain wrong, but no actually pretty good advice! And thanks for the website screenshot cameo 🤘😄
Haha hey Austin. Okay I'm officically asking on behalf of everyone: you need to do YOUR ten tips. I'm a sketchy, jobbing freelancer. YOU'VE actually set a target for yourself and achieved it
Concise, and beautifully presented... as was the information. :D You're probably aware already, but this video was featured in School of Motion's weekly newsletter which is how I came across it; and I'm super glad I did. Nice work!
Great advice, even better video!
Even better feedback
Wow, thanks dude. That is such a good advice and I like your candid approach.
Thank you!
Great video Adam! appreciate the shoutout. Also your b-roll game is on point!
Thank god for the production design of the myriad Hollywood films I can splice in under fair use

8:00 = best advice. Thanks for making this!
Let's face it the rest of the video is filler. THAT'S the takeaway
Thank you for yet another great video, motion daddy
Hey you! Thankssss
Great set of tips, Adam! Shared it on the AE and Premiere discord servers. Thumbnail on point
FYI everyone, THIS guy is one of many I had in mind for tip 02

Quite funny, quite insightful 🙌🏾
4:45 🤣🤣🤣🤣😂
I hired this man and he touched my bum - AVOID
Not really - great advice Adam. I only wish I'd had some sort of older mentor figure when I was thinking about going freelance
@@JamesDohertyEsq You inspired me to go freelance. "If this joker can do it ...."
@@TheVideoShopLondon in very much the same vein I'm going to have to start a youtube channel...
😂🤲🏻🍑 Hilarious. But also, great tips.
@@JamesDohertyEsq Inept and sketchy advice? You totally should
