- Even though Lewis Hamilton won in Abu Dhabi, Nico Rosberg claimed his first F1 world title. Hamilton says he will be back next year to take that title away from his teammate.

he was holding back so that he could keep nico with the pack so that nico had a chance of being passed.
nico needed to finish on the podium in order to win the championship so lewis drove slower than he was capable in order to maximize the chances of nico being passed and losing his podium spot

Props to Lewis. He did everything right in the race in my eyes, he did what he had to do to have a chance of being WC. He also said all the right things in the post-race interview. In my opinion he's the stronger driver compared to Nico.
He's really grown a lot in the last few years.

Lewis is and always will be the spoilt cocky brat that was gifted into a winning team in 2008. Literally nothing has changed. Nico will always be better viewed and more respected because of this.
I think Lewis was always better than Nico. But Nico really put it all to get it. Huge respect to Nico. He stole it from the GOAT, that's something.
