Hello, very well done, I'm looking to do this in June this year and wanted to ask if there is any really steep areas, specifically any cliff edges that you need to traverse (as I get very anxious when there are drops straight down - like vertigo) so any advice you could provide would be massively appreciated.
Hi, well done for giving it a go - I hope that training is going well. From what I can remember there wasn't any cliff edges, however there were a couple of steeper declines which were rocky. There was a path for the route but it was very uneven underfoot and it does have a lot of inclines and declines. I'd have to say it was one of the most challenging walks I've done not just for the length but also the terrain too. But that made it all the more rewarding to complete it. Make sure that you take plenty of spare socks because it was intermittently wet due to lake District weather and if you have any need for supports (ankles/knees) then I would definitely have them and use them. There was plenty of support along the way at the refreshment stations so you don't need to worry about taking lots of food but it might be something you do for comfort. I hope it all goes well for you! 🤞
@@ThatGirlOnUA-cam Thank you for your reponse. I'm guessing the steeper declines are not too bad, if you watch your step (not like really sharp, like some parts of Helvellyn)? Is the Aria Force element, pretty straight forward, do you go down some steps at all (if so, are they a big drop)? I'm looking froward to doing it, just trying to get used to what to expect haha! I'm getting plenty of training in with 5 mile runs and brisk walks under different terrains. Thanks for sharing your other tips, super and how long did it roughly take you to complete the walk?
Well done.i did the trek26 brecon in September. Those last 4 miles are a killer .x
Defo not the first time watching this... Definitely
