23:44 "I want to go to the right today" *aims left, bounces to the right* Ah, I see Tom's finally learned to aim the opposite of the direction he -- "I wanted to go to the left!" ....
That has to be, by far, the _most_ satisfying boss kill ever!! Also, "I want to go to the right today please" Game finally accedes "no no I said left!" 😂
Tom has some kind of inverse relationship with his confidence in his own abilities. The less confident he is to more likely he seems to be to succeed, conversely if he starts getting too cocky things almost always tend to instantly start spiraling downwards.
Holy shit that happened so quick I had to rewatch it. Also I would like to see the devs add the "Angory Bomb" - adds bomb damage to bouldorb but no refreshes or something like that. or Angorby Tom - Spawns a bouldorb on crit.
Tom wondering why his damage had dropped off: He'd been spreading the shots across the entire board. You could see the top pegs being buffed +10, but no one area with +50 or anything. If he'd waited for the PDFs to come around again and focussed on one section it'd've increased damage significantly
The "Refreshes hit nearby Pegs" and "Refreshes only refresh 10 Pegs" artifacts are at direct odds with each other, basically disabling refreshes, slowing down your scaling as less pegs get perspectived. On their own each one would have been great for your run, but together it hamstrung you.
I think "Refreshes hit nearby Pegs" is basically required for the leaf. or at least the refreshes move each turn. otherwise you end up with all your refreshes in a bad spot without being able to hit any pegs. the refersh and crit deal damage is also a must. The refreshorb is kinda pointless with the leaf though since each time it triggers only refreshes 5 pegs.
It's '+10 refreshes, refreshes only return five pegs', and it seems like a really bad item for almost any build. Feels like it should give back a percentage of missing pegs instead, because in it's current state it ends up effectively reserving a significant percentage of the board in long fights, both as refreshes AND as missing pegs, which severely cuts into damage. Even if you have the item for refresh damage, its just not worth it due to all the damage potential you are constantly missing. In the wall fight you really see it. Over 50% of the board is missing for basically the whole second half of the fight.
@@christophkogler6220 I think if you had a build with Strange Brew, Reorbanizer, and that relic that leaves copies when something moves it would be good
I just had a good run with Leaf The Rest For Later. It is nice with Duplication Potion, few Reorbanizers, Cookie and relic that grants you Muscircle or Spinese when you are reloading enough. Funny how my run went so well thanks to misnavigation leading to a "copy a random orb" event and it had a 1/8 chance to copy my sole Reorbanizer - and it did it!
There's a City-builder game called "Bulwark" that I think Tom would enjoy playing. Its billed as a "Post-apocalyptic Fortress-builder", (and it has airships with guns in it)
Wouldn't be very good honestly. It makes subsequent crits increase damage per peg by (crit - base) damage, and since he had that Book giving him random buffs from refreshes and the Dumbbell, he usually had more muscircle than spinese so the fleece would actually reduce his damage
Daily reminder that Tom is an amazing person and to thank him for all he has done/will do - Day 1578 OOO, Refresh build :D very good Some classic Peglin plays today XD ha ha Good god, a little finiky at the start, but my word this build came together. And jesus, that end, good god. I actually had to go back as it was so quick I half missed it. Also, happy Seal Tom XD ha ha ha amazing
I wish he tried discarding the refreshircle when he had a lot of refreshing to do, wanted to see if it worked around the limited refreshes thing, could have been handy. Amazing final round though!
Usually I don’t complain about Tom keeping gold for later, but since he brought it up in the video I have to say that it’s actually shocking he waited until the run is over halfway done before even upgrading his main damage dealer daggorb even once.
its the greedy option, because hes right that you might remove the daggorb later, and since hes not playing cruciball you can get away with the greedy option almost all the time, though yeah in this case the money wasnt ever needed for anything else anyway
I want to see one Peglin video of Tom just trying cruciball 10, or atleast 8. I want to know how many trys it would take for him to get to area 3 (if 10). 9/10 if u can make it through 2 area 3 is a cake walk if you are careful. I won't say go higher than 10 as it actually becomes grueling to do runs at that point.
How long has Tom been cooking that Green Goblin joke from the beginning, do we think? A week or two? More? Has he wanted to make it for ages, but only just remembered on this video? An excellent mystery to overthink.
refreshes activating pegs sounds good in theory but it's basically just making holes under you and removing stuff you can bounce back upwards on, personally dont rate it >.>
Been watching your Channel a while Tom and love the Peglin runs you do but I do have to ask, are you purposely saying "imposiball" and "its not terriball" and "incrediball"... or am I just hearing it?
Tom, the reason the angry nerds shout at you is because at harder levels you often can't afford to wait for perfect shop or best balls before you upgrade.Obviously not relevant for your play through but that doesn't stop the angry nerds.
I always love Tom's Peglin videos ... but oh man. He didn't upgrade his coins! Cuz hes he got coins but he didn't up-guh, he didn't upgrade his ball but the coins in the coin purse!
It seems to be meant to work with a refresh build where you have that one relic that gives muscircle/spinesse every 4 refresh. Could also work with morbid well. Overall, not a good relic though
I wish the orbs got their damage increased at least when you get them to Lvl 3. I know the ones that don't get an increase are gimmicky but it still sucks to see them be 1-2s.
The leaf at least to me seems like one of the worst things you can take almost no matter the build. I've seen many youtubers take it and even tried using it myself a couple of times and it seems to only make your build worse.
In the end it worked out tho but unless you have the perfect build for it and at the start its almost impossible to have its a bad idea to take the leaf
That finale though. Absolutely eviscerated those nerds
Another day, another watching Tom peg some small creatures in the woods
And slimes, which are the most peggable of creatures.
Isn't nature beautiful?
a minotaur isn't a small creature - he pegged that guy, too.
@@Thorngotdid you know that in terms of male human and female monster breeding, Slimes are the most peggable monster?

I thought the leaf scuffed the run but I don't think we would have had that finale without it. 10+ crit triggers is nothing to sneeze at
"These coins at the bottom are unobtainable..." proceeds to get almost all of them.
Tom, too good at games.
Tom has some kind of inverse relationship with his confidence in his own abilities.

Morbid would have been insane on this run
What an ending wow.
You are the only one of my subbed creators that still play peglin. Very grateful for it❤

Spider pig… spider pig… does whatever a spider pig does…

Congrats on a successful leaf run. That stupid thing has killed nearly every run I've ever taken it on, lol.
That last boss fight. Hahahahahahahah...
I think gift that keeps on giving would negate the pain point of leaf
I would definitely love to see another run without that 5 peg refresh!!!
Not sure if you have done it before or not, but swoltorb + orbsium is pretty jokes, especially with the durable pegs relic.

Classic. Fucking. Tom.
reforbisher was such a bad buy for this run. No damage and hits so few pegs as the refreshes clear the way for it.
That Leaf seems garbagio to me
oh, it definitely is, except for the few times when it comes together with other relics and absolutely MELTS
I always find it's just too easy to run out of pegs.
Pretty fun with Defresh potion, Morbidorb, Necorbmancer IMO. Many boss relics require some luck with relics and particular orb choices to pop off
It seems to be meant to work with a refresh build where you have that one relic that gives muscircle/spinesse every 4 refresh. Could also work with morbid well. Overall, not a good relic though
