Id like to have a golf cart. Places to go that are too far for walking (especially in my "old age") and too short for driving my car. They really come in handy.
I think I can make this golf cart mechanically sound for a total cost of around $1,000. I am going to install about 2500 worth of batteries. It should make this golf cart last another 20 years.

Awesome stuff, as always guys love the golf cart idea and free power to charge it 👍 need a 4" lift kit to make it easier to get in and out of it 😀 . The last person to own that was luckily that those batteries didn't explode on them

I have a 89 club car thats the same cart I think. I have an issue with mine. A short wire harness between the run/tow switch and the main harness burnt up. It had 2 diodes in it one on the black and one on the red. Do you have any idea where I can find a replacement?
Go on Amazon and type Club Car diode. They have everything to rebuild the cart from the ground up.
When you say increase 25 miles, do you mean increase it TO 25 miles total, or increase it by another 25 miles?
To be honest, I don't know what I was thinking when I said that. It is my understanding with the new kit, the golf cart will go 45 miles or so under normal conditions. This is with 3 48v batteries. I can add up to a total of 6 batteries.
