The perfect conclusion to the perfect album. This is the song that first made me appreciate the "lunacy" that resides within all of us. This song made it OK to to admit your own issues, recognizing that we all have them.
The heartbeat is how the album starts & ends, thus you can play it in a permanent loop!!

As ever, another brilliant reaction video - and yeah, like many other PF devotees, I've been waiting for you to discover this one, because it was just bound to speak directly to the glorious fizzing multicoloured chaos inside your head. Pink Floyd's music never gets old - it's every bit as unique, genuinely mind- and emotion-expanding and f**k, let's just say it, transcendental today as it was when it was first released all those decades ago. It's genius and we won't see their like again. RIP Rick Wright.

Pink Floyd are the best band ever, again for a lot of us more than 50yrs, as a teenager Dark side of the Moon poster was on my bedroom wall, I had all of their albums, & I’ve loved David Gilmour since I was 16, I’m 65 now 😳

The great thing about Pink Floyd is the details they put in their music. The things in the background that you can barely hear, but adds so much to the song. It’s the details in the music which sets them apart from everyone else. They were geniuses and will never be replicated by anyone.
I could sit on my desert island with Dark Side on repeat and be perfectly happy with my choice. It's like the monolith from 2001. It's from another space and time and we're here to learn from it.
Glad you're back to some Pink Floyd! These two tracks are such a perfect package, the tragic tale of the descent into madness. And that last line is pure brilliance... "and everything under the sun is in tune, but the sun is eclipsed by the moon".
A tiny thing that everyone seems to miss is that when they sing the words "everything under the sun is in tune" they purposely sing the word Tune slightly out of tune! Which to me, says that to believe that things are going perfectly is just an illusion.
I think it's more about the climb out of madness, seeing the manipulation of 'society' for what it is and rejecting it - what society CALLS madness in an attempt to 'keep the loonies on the path', remembering the normality of childhood and the life that was intended for you before being shaped into, to borrow from another album, just another brick in the wall.
This is why the whole album is just one song. Side one is the 'normal' life, side two is the realisation of how abnormal that life really is and the 'punishment' inflicted by vested interests for rebelling against it.

Eclipse is a goosebump generator throughout the entire piece. But the record... Is the most beautiful album of all time, in my opinion.

This is one of the goose-pimpliest rock songs I know. One of the most lyrically meaningful, emotionally affecting, and musically dramatic tunes I've ever heard.

My theme song, being 15 when this came out and a first intro to PF, this was amazing, back then, a boys bedroom was plastered with blacklight posters, and aluminum foil....a little Boones farm apple wine and some cheap pot....and this...this astonishing piece of music, it was a glorious time to be alive. The actual end is a small voice, There is no dark side of the moon, matter of fact, it's all dark.

The Wall tour or the US & Them tour are next level.
Rogers Management has been very intense on protecting their rights (which is weird because they let everyone post videos of the wall tour UNTIL they put out the official video). I've seen two reviews of Rogers stay on UA-cam. David and PF let anyone review their concert material.. But if its a Wall song, rogers management sometimes tries to come in. The feud is still on-going. 😥 They seem more protective of whatever material Roger is doing on tour..

Walking down to the village for a pint tonight I thought “let’s see how old Brain squeeze” is getting on. So glad you made it man. What a crescendo of musical brilliance. Even if you are the biggest hip hop head or techno head or drum and base head, if you listen to that album, as you have, you cannot say anything to anyone wearing a Floyd T-shirt anything but “yeah alright, they deserve a T-shirt” unbelievable, unbeatable, inspirational and timelessly relevant. I wish there were a sh!t ton of Pink Floyd albums for you to hear. Because you are British combined with how you jam to music makes these reactions shine like a crazy diamond. The only extension of this I can think of is "Dust," "Captain Beyond" & "King Crimson." All bands that may slap you around like Pink Floyd does.

This album can make sane insane and insane sane, both in a good way. Soon you're ready for Pink Floyds more crazy stuff, like Roger Waters' epic "Several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooved with a Pict", from Ummagumma 1969. -Be warned and prepared!
The joy you will feel listening to the album in full will open your soul. I think we all wish we could go back in time and hear it again for the first time. The Wish You Were Here album would be a great experience as well!
