Pretty good analysis overall. I think both group C and E are the most difficult groups with all teams in each group being fairly strong contenders. I see Morocco or Cameroon winning it all, but anything could happen really. May the best team win!

Morocco's close proximity to Europe not only in terms of geography but players and tactics makes them a very strange African team to play against. They are a good team at the World stage but they struggle at the Afcon stage. This is because Afcon teams tend to turn on the physicality to nullify the technical approach of most European-based players. As you go deeper into the tournament the teams not only become more physical but their technical abilities also increase. This is where Morrocco's struggles start because they lose that technical advantage and are now forced to compete at a physical level. They will go far, but they will not win the tournament.
That also explains why egypt goes that far , Egyptian clubs especially al ahly understand how to play against african teams , and also always have an upper hand against them , that makes egypt even if it has less players in Europe , a good team that easily beats strong teams in africa

Afcon is a tournament with close margins a lot of the time so something as simple as a free kick goal from one of their stars could easily be a difference maker

We've been favorites for so many years yet the only tittle was ages ago .. do you remember the 2010 algerian team it was way stronger than the 2019 and current team but failed at AFCON .. Don't forget Tunisia is the most consistent team in Africa. They reached QF 9 out of 10 times in the last 20 years and managed to qualify AFCON 16 times in a row, not to mention qualifying for WC more often than Egypt, Algeria, Ivory Coast... Though unlikely to win the tournament, they are never easy to play.

Thank you for being right this time :D Remember overlooking Morocco before but Moroccans are forgiving you now :D My only worry here is that prior to the World Cup 2022 we had to prove to you that Morocco is one of the best, this time, we have nothing to prove :D The African Cup is always harder on Moroccans because of the heat and 100 percent humidity that our players are not used to. The slip up against South Africa is because Morocco did not play with their best players and Morocco was already qualified to the African Cup , the players were slacking and missing all their shots then against play South Africa just was lucky to score, it was a much needed loss to get the team to focus again

Nice prediction but it lacks one thing that is always almost there in the AFCON. A dark horse/s, AFCON is not a straightforward tournament and one or more of the big guys always fails. So I predict that some favorites will be shocked and won't even make the knockouts
