I was a kid when Boyz in the Hood came out and I remember mistaking Ricky's mom for Kim Wayans. I also didn't know until a few years ago that the guy who played Dooky had passed. His character seemed cool and chill and didn't really seem much of a gangster at all, unlike Doughboy and Monster.

That's exactly where I saw Boyz In The Hood At the Baldwin Hills theater in 91 I miss that theater good times and a great movie *they even filmed the movie in my neighborhood off 60th and Slauson

I found this movie to be very profound. I liked Cuba Gooding Jr. and Laurence Fishburne. After seeing the film, I started seeking out movies with Angela Bassett as well. It wasn't until a few years ago that I realized that Nia Long was in the film. I am still moved by the film today as I was when it was released.

Why is Cuba on the end?? He was a main character equal to Morris.
The seating order was completely randomized. Notice how Angela Bassett is in the seat closest to Elvis Mitchell, the moderator, even though her character wasn't used all that much throughout the movie. Their status and where they sit don't really matter. It's just the way it was put together.

in the movie Tyra Ferrell character first starts out almost as a crackhead mother then changes when her kids are teenagers she actually cleaner herself up really well looking sophisticated
