- Unfortunately the new kung fu panda movie fails to impress with its lack of elements essential to the previous films. In this video I give a breakdown of why I believe this to be by fare, the weakest kung fu panda movie in the series. I don’t think it ruined the franchise it’s the weakest but not the worst, there is not bad king fu panda movie, could have done better, I still enjoyed it
Ok so basically no one enjoyed hearing your opinion, I respect your opinion and all but idk man i feel like your overly hating the movie just for clicks on your video but i may be wrong, but yeah basically everyone thinks your opinion sucked except for like 4 or 5 dudes in the comment section. Hey its okay though we all aren’t the same people so we for sure wont ever have the same opinions.
@MotionGoing nah, I definitely stand by my opinion. At the end of the video, i explain that it's not horrible, but it's reliance on humor instead of telling a good story ruins the film for me. It's also way too rushed and, as a result, has a pretty unsatisfying conclusion
Damn bruh, the movie is out for like a day and we already got video essays calling it the franchise killer 😭😭😭
I dont think it will completely kill the franchise, but it will definitely leave a sour taste in peoples mouths when given the option to see yet another needless cashgrab in this series

It’s definitely the lesser of the four films but by no means does it “ruin” the franchise. There’s nothing the movie does that undermines its predecessors in any way.
Hopefully the next film will have a bigger budget
Kung fu panda 4 didn't kill the franchise they are making 2 more movies and confirmed po's story isn't over yet

I fully respect your opinion. In fact, I do respect everyone else's opinions on this movie considering the change of the director from the last two movies along with budgetary constraints. That being said, I still found some enjoyment out of this 4th installment since I still love the franchise. Yes, it has problems, but I thought it felt marginally better than KFP 3, which I also liked but also had problems regarding some of the comedy jarring with the action, the villain General Kai not being as fleshed out as Tai Lung and Lord Shen, and feeling a little bit rushed in terms of the pacing. KFP 4's pacing suffers the same thing as 3 and some of the slapstick humor isn't quite as appealing, but at least it didn't jar with the action by being too goofy as it still retains some heart.
So, is it the best 4th installment of a franchise? Nope, but had it not been for Jack Black, I never would've enjoyed it. Besides, at least the producers tried to have some passion when compared to an 100th anniversary Disney animated feature film that had some potential but overall felt disappointing thanks to executive meddling (*coughs Disney's Wish coughs*).

Yeah, but after this movie, I probably won't be going to see any more films in the franchise. I'll just stick with the original movies that are actually good

My only critism was the lack of the furious 5 and the waste of Shen and Kai

The others got like 9.6 to a 9.9
It did not kill off the franchise if anything it most likely restarted it to make a new trilogy

Kill the franchise? More like started new trilogy. Po is about to be Oogway 2.0 and Shifu told him to find Dragon Warrior replacement.
If you talk about butchered Po character, I believe you should check Kung fu Panda: Knight Dragon
Its just sad to see how poor the writing in kung fu panda 4 is. We have kung fu panda 1-3 masterpieces peak story, peak villans and then we get a sequel like this. At this point Kung fu panda 4 is just unnecessary. Dreamworks is not cooking right now. Hopefully this new Robo Movie will be PEAK!
my only issue with the third movie is the placement of humor. i really cant get into the final battle with kai when 90 percent of it is made to be funny, honestly i loved the majority of the third film but absolutely hate the final half of the fight against kai

Kung Fu Panda 4 may not be the best for everyone, but I think it's way better than Megamind's sequel.

Kung Fu Panda 4 was not bad at all, but it wasn't the best.
It didn’t ruin it and its clearly the start of a new triliogy, thus also pointing the fact its not ruining it at all.
You whine about things too much
Not being over dramatic at all, he's explaining all of the many things that make NO sense in the 4th film- and call them out on their lazy fucking writing.
They butchered Po, and took away everything that made him unique. "Funny" doesn't equal a good character.
The 4th film had such a good IDEA for a plot, choosing a new successor, the Chameleon- all had such potential. For true fans it's hard to ignore that not even HALF of the love that went into the first three when into the 4th.
The Furious Five aren't even IN IT. It's a shame to see such a beautiful franchise have a horrible cash-grab of a movie addition.
Change is supposed to happen, but they "changed" everything in the worst ways possible. The extremely over-saturated comic book style makes it feel like a Nextflix show imo, rather than a MOVIE. If you enjoy movies that give brain-rot for 5 year olds, awesome! You can forget everything that made Kung fu Panda great in the first place, and reduce it to a movie with little to no emotion- and jokes! 👍

I fully agree with you!! This movie didn‘t have serious, emotional scenes with epic music. Something Kung Fu Panda 3 at least had.

I watched the movie three whole times bro. It had amazing soundtrack but you probably didn't notice it.
Couldn’t agree more bro. Kung Fu panda 2 was the franchise at it’s peak. It had a balance of the funny humour, dark mature tone and great actions scenes. Po really grew in that movie and then all was forgotten ever since the 3rd movie.
You know KFP2 was like, criticised ALOT for it being dark. KFP3 originally was gonna be even darker than the second but they changed it mid way through the making because of too much criticism. Trust me if there was less criticisms for KFP2 being too dark, KFP4 and KFP3 definitely would have been more serious.

@@pancakes7778 Damn if that's true that sucks so much because I think the Kung Fu Panda 2's serious tone made it the masterpiece it was. I'm grateful for them making more movies in the franchise and stuff but it would have been so good to see KFP3 and KFP4 try its best to pull some emotional heartstrings without holding back.
